Default The Late Lord Walder Frey

Petyr Baelish rides into the Twins bearing the flag of a messenger, requesting an audience with the Lord of the Crossing.

Thus far House Frey had ignored their liege lord's call to arms but Petyr would see their men added to the side of the rebels.

"And who are you, that would seek an audience with me?" said the Lord of the Twins in his usual unwelcoming manor.

"My name is Petyr of House Baelish, my lord."

"Baelish? Heh, you're that fool of a boy who grew up in the Tully household. You thought you could better one of those High Lords in a battle. You have courage but you are a fool if you thought you could stand up to them. Even if you had won, imagine what they would do to someone who had slain the heir of Winterfell."

"We all make mistakes my lord. I am not here to discuss my past follies but rather your current allegiance. Like my fight with Kennet Stark, I believe you are currently making a mistake. You are a smart man Lord Frey, you no doubt have noticed that the tides of war have swung in favour of King Robert Baratheon."

"Heh, is he a King already boy? I had no idea that the war was over. Did I miss his coronation too?" scoffed Lord Frey.

"Yes.. King, the war is already won. How long do you think it will be before the rebel forces reach King's Landing? They are already at Rosby. Once this war is over Lord Tully will remember those who fought beside him and who fought against him. Already House Mooten and Darry have been punished for breaking their vows, how long do you think it will be before your House follows?"

Lord Freys face twitched slightly at this remark.

"If you stand behind Lord Tully and King Robert your House will be remembered in a much better light than it is currently. If that is not enough to persuade you, I will offer 10,000 Dragons towards your involvement in the war. You need not even lose a single man, march your men to the field of battle, by the time you get there the battle will have already finished."

Rolled an 11, Lord Frey reluctantly agrees to raise his banners. Whether or not they will be marching South anytime soon is a mystery.

Awesome, does that mean I also gain an extra trait point?
