Carnute Cingetos - You will be assimilated
I just gotta know if anyone else has been fighting a horde of these lately. I'm in like turn 100 on my Caesar in Gaul campaign, and I'm coming across nearly whole armies of them.
For those that don't know, they are a Gallic/Celtic Barbarian unit, with high stats, a permanent druid chant ability that stacks on all units nearby in a large radius, and shield wall to boot. Even with DeI's extraordinarily resilient units, I've seen them manhandle a hollow square Roman praetorian bodyguard.
The only thing that makes it possible to kill them, is even with the Cingeto's lethality, DeI's resilient units means they can be held long enough for a repeated cavalry charge in the rear to eventually break them (bless those hard coded cavalry collision kills).
I've just got to know, out of morbid curiosity, if anyone has been fighting these guys lately and came to the same horrifying realization as I did. I'm not sure, but I think they even have a javelin attack to boot.
I levied one from a client state, and he's been the center of my battle line since.
