Thoughts on Getae campaign?

Has anyone played late into a Getae campaign and found it fun or different than the other barb factions? I just started a campaign and the first thing I noticed was my generals telling me they "live to serve the people of Gaul" I guess I expected more from an officially-released faction.

On very hard is ing hard...their comatai are very good, their pikeman have too low attack, a short pike - better control, more damage, I don't understand with last patch what happened with trade income, from 250 it dropped to 85....

Reminds me of the Baktrian royal cavalry shouting "Roma Invicta!" all the time.

I haven't started a campaign as the Getae yet, but DeI added a whole bunch of cool units for them recently. The Ktistai are a good example: they're horse archers armed with falxes for close combat... they have better melee stats than most melee cavalry.

I played them. I was surprise in a positive way. On the one hand i like the suebi, but on the other hand they start to bore me before i get the cool stuff. But with the getae, i had fun right away. Those sword man really kill fast compared to other units, but are extremly vunerable to missiles. Some fresh air in the game, i like.

Edit: not to mention the great unit pack of DeI for them
