Kingdoms Disk isnt reading?

HI!
The problem is that my driver (i think) doesnt read the Kingdoms CD wich is strange because before I was using the same system (Windows 7) and it was reading.
But the strange thing is that Medieval 2 is installed but anything related to Kingdoms isnt reading even if it is a "standalone" disk or a GOLD edition which is very odd...
When I put the CD something is somehow blocking it to read because makes a noise like "tic" "tic"... "BUMP" "tic" "tic".... "BUMP" (LOL).

Can you read the disc's contents in Computer?

The rule of thumb since my first cd-rom many years ago is:

If it can read about any disc but this one, odds are it's the disc.
If it's hit and miss which disc it will read, odds are the drive is no the way out.

The problem is That my Gold edition its new because I tought that the Kingdoms disk was scratched butstill it didnt read since it has the Kingdoms content ....
I think Im cursed lol

EDIT: And my driver reads any disk except the CDs that have the Kingdoms content

As old as the game is, even "Gold Edition" now, i wonder how many of the packages are not shrink wrapped returns to the store.

Its really strange because it was reading like a year ago with the same PC and the same System....probably is an update that is making interference?

Have you changed Windows versions since a year ago? If it's still Win 7 and fully up to date including Service Pack 1, then I think the drive is going. I have two dvd-roms and had to replace the oldest one last year.

I think that I will need to buy a new pc.. it has almost 6 years and I didnt even update nothing
But the good news is that I can enjoy Rome 2 and the other TW titles better

But until there I will try to survive playing M2TW without mods..huh...

Since you have Rome2, why not buy Steam's version of the Gold Edition of Medieval2? Probably cheaper than a new drive and transferable to a new computer.
