    Default My funny experience

Okay i am playing with my new campaign after 0.9 with the Iceni, i have the whole of Britannia and Caledonia, now i am just building my infrastructure so i can have the best units available to conquer the world.

I sent my spy to explore and now i am trading with a few far away lands to get the resources i needed.

Now the funny thing is Rhodes keeps declaring war on me then several turns later offers a peace treaty with always around 3000 shiny coins , they have done this at least 5 times now so an extra 15,000 for nothing!

Just wondering if any of you have had any strange or funny experiences with your campaigns, or similar experiences?

    Absolutely.
Something might be broken in DEI diplomacy (or is it vanilla diplomacy in DEI?), because often i can get a peace treaty the turn after a faction enter war with me!
This, using normal or high difficulty...do not happen on very high difficulty, by chance.

It may happens sometimes, but only with enemies that are far from your position (dunno if their allies ask them to join war, in this casse it may be logical)

Once with macedon i was conquering all greece, all of sudden Egypt declares war against me,OK he is far and is having problems with the Seleucids and the other faction...10 turns after they come with 2 full stacks and lands on my capital, that ed up all my gameplay and i had to reset because i couldnt afford my army(very excpensive one) and fight in 3 fronts with only 2 armys

I would love to see this happen in my campaigns

I'm not sure but I think the Ptolemies did actually invade the Macedonian homeland during the successor wars, would be great to experience such tactical ingenuity/madness now and then.

But still the fun part of it depends on the situation. At the beginning of your campaign such occurrences can ruin your experience no doubt :p

I've seen it happen in the vanilla game as well, though less often for some reason. It can be pretty funny if its a faction that feels weak enough to surrender and pay you while they're at it.
I've seen it happen with trade deals as well--the AI cancels a treaty then crawls over on its knees for you to take them back a turn or two later.

Its quite a bit less funny when some distant faction declares war on you for no apparent reason, refuses peace and having no shared border, you promptly forget about them. Then thirty turns later, they somehow manage to open up an extra front and screw up your entire war plan.
