    Sigh,

    I like this mod and appreciate all the work that the mod team has done but I feel its all for nothing because CA didn't bother to test their new features that do not work.

    I absolutely hate that I cannot build walls on villages and I cannot manage garrisons so I cant use a city as a choke point to hold off other enemies.

    Basically what this game boils down to all the time is cat and mouse. I constantly have to watch as an army on the other side of my country rampages through taking every village.

    So I have to chase this army as it walks through defeat it then go back and retake all my villages rinse and repeat. Its just not fun.

    Sorry DEI team but CA has just ed it up so bad that I don't think modifications of a flawed game can fix major issues.

    Also sieges are broken.

    If a single army can invade your country and quickly take a few settlements then you should bolster your defenses. You don't need a full stack, just carefully chosen units in a strategic position. In a typical Rome 2 scenario: the AI is so retarded that they willingly channel their entire army (except for a few spears and skirmishers) down a narrow street allowing me to execute basic tactics involving a rear cavalry/elephant charge causing the entire army to rout. Then my general proceeds to kill a few thousand men which is jolly well old boy. Hats off to CA for providing a fantastic Total War experience.

    I also like this mod and I am also aware of the pathetic excuse for a game CA has slapped together. The Total War series is often compared to meth, you will never get the same buzz as the first time. Its only downhill from here. The next release will be Total War for mobile phones and it will be sold on the App Store.

    Sieges have always been broken. There are many threads such as this one. Please do not remind us of the atrocities coming out of SEGAs .

    I miss managing my city garrisons. It is an essential part of empire management. Instead you get a limited amount of armies BS.

    The only reason I can think of for them to get rid of walls on cities is because walled sieges are broken hence torches.

    Everytime I see the ai try and use siege equipment it always leads to fail or a bug.

    Garrissons are a major issue. (in a great mod) In the newest version they are incredibly strong however (at least the barbarian factions). You need at least 2 full stacks of elite units to savely autoresolve a siege against a developed city. I think garrisons shoeld be small but strong (1 elite, maybe 2 for major for very developed cities, 2-3 archers/skirmishers, quality dependend on developmend, a few medium inf and 2 professional city guards). The garrisison alone (again: even in a developed city, I am aware thats possible in the early game) should lose to 1 full stack of reasonably advanced forces.
    First get rid of mobs for their numbers alone. Of course this would be much more endurable if CA hadnt screwed up manual sieges in the first place.

    The team said they will revamp garrisons in 0.95, so I guess you'll need to be patient. Also, ABH2 (I hope this is his correct user name) released a submod giving Syracuse and Jerusalem walls, so one can always hope

    Non-walled town garrisons even with level 2 towns (Hellenic and Rome) are the same if not weaker than in Vanilla.
    Keep the mobs, just add more units.
    Radious garrisons are double this size.
    Level 3 I get 6 slingers as Hellenic.
    This does me no good. I need more spears and pikes.
