Excellent work! It's a very useful tutorial![]()

I don't use the falxmen as a pack, I used your template, and followed the steps to a T, but I changed the data to what I needed it to be (the Falxmen officer became Octavian, with a corresponding name change). It's an infinite loading screen problem.
Okay. Thanks for the tip, I'll be digging in soon...and probably be up all night just to find out I missed one character in one spot that made it just barely different, which caused it. Programming/Modding For the Win!!!
Both are fun, but need to be done in moderation, or else they will overwhelm you. My apprehension is from a project from the former, where I spent a semester of school trying to debug a program someone else wrote in Javascript...which I had almost no knowledge of. Thanks to you, I'm in a little bit better position for this as compared to that, but I still don't have the best odds.
Don't worry about it. It's really annoying when you start out because you'll make tons of mistakes but after a while you will be able to spot them really quickly. It's better to just doing it really carefully the first time to prevent any mistakes from happening at all. Remember to only ever copy and paste, typing will definitely cause mistakes.
Thanks for the help; unfortunately, I feel that my troubles are only starting. Is it possible to make a unit of some mounted men, some infantry? Ex. 60 on horses, 60 on foot?
Have you made a tutorial for this for TW:A or is it the same?
Yeah...my issue was that I typed in the armor; it worked with the slingers, not with the Sword Guard. It's "cataphract", not "capharact". Had to plug in Praetorian Guard info, and table by table, then cell by cell, reintroduce my table to find it, but it worked.
Thanks for the further info. How about slinger cavalry, at least in theory?
So...that means Animation editing. Are there caps on data entries (ex. I know Movement points can't go above 999,999, but are there any others, including tables in your advanced guide)? If these questions seem scattered, that's because I'm working on an extremely overpowered Spartan unit for a friend, and I want to add to my Roman Legion pack, so I can release the latter to Steam.
I don't know if there are caps, I haven't come across any anyway. There's a cap on the unique index for units but I think that's like 12 characters so it would never be a problem.
Hey Seb, I have a problem with cav units. They are always dismounted, I mean I added horses and all and the game doesn't
crash but they are still on foot in battles.
and also what table to give abilities like phalanx?

You need to give the unit a number of horses that equals the number of men. It's not in main_units though (simple mistake) it's in Land_units_tables. The column is called num_horses.
To give abilities you use land_units_to_unit_abilites_junctions. That info is in the tutorial.
Thanks![]()
