    Default Battle(s) of Shipbreaker's Bay

Having sailed into Shipbreaker's Bay apparently unopposed by the Stormlanders, the navy of the Reach divides into four squadrons to strike at four of the ports located on Shipbreaker's Bay to destroy the enemy's naval power before it can be brought to bear against them, and in the case of Tarth, raid it as well.

ooc : As I have no idea what's going on with the Stormlander fleet and have been informed by a mod it's not raised, I'm going with that for now. If it has been raised, then this would probably be a single battle as I doubt the Stormlanders would allow a massive fleet into the Bay unchallenged.

    Reach Composition

    Commanders :
Lady Rohanne Redwyne ( +3 Wealth, +4(3 trait points, 1 from the Arbor) Naval Battles, +2 Survival, +1 Duel)
Ser Lucifer Redwyne (+2 Capture, +3 Naval Battles, +2 Survival, +2 Duel, +1 Land Battles)
Lord Alesander Hightower (+3 Survival, +3 Spymaster, +2 Sea Battles, +3 Wealth, +1 Charisma)
Ser Alesander Goldwyne (+3 Naval Battles, +2 Land Battles, +3 Survival, +2 Dueling, +2 Logistician)

    479 Levy Ships (479 points)
    298 Dromonds (894 points)
    201 Heavy Galleys (1,005 points)
    112 AOR Ships (896 points)
    33 Grand Warships (330 points)

    Total : 1,123 warships (3,604 total points)

    Stormlander Composition

    340 Levy Ships (340 points)
    170 Dromonds (510 points)
    104 Heavy Galleys (520 points)
    60 AOR Ships (480 points)
    20 Grand Warships (200 points)

    Total : 694 ships (2,050 points)

As of right now, I assume it to be multiple battles as I have not yet found where the fleet of the Storm's End has been raised. there were a lot of movement posts so I wouldn't be surprised if I missed it. If a link can be provided that proves that the fleet levy was raised, then it will be on single battle.

OOC I think this is a matter of miscommunication, I asked LD if the levies were raised and he said they were and that was probably three or so days ago.

Alright, in a mod conversation, Jokern has just pointed out something important. When the RP had started, we had stated that the Stormland's levies would be already raised at the beginning of the game. This also extends to the fleet levies of the Stormlands and as a result, this conflict is now resolved and this battle thread will be rolled as one single battle.

OOC: Ah ok osrry, I saw no information about our fleet and assumed it was not raised so I raised my own to protect my Island from Dornishmen.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

OOC Is there a harbor my fleet can ships can take refuge in?

OOC : Storm's End? I would say Tarth but I think the Reach's fleet is blocking that route. Although I wonder if any one harbor can hold every ship in a region's fleet.

OOC : I was told by another mod a 'temporary' rule of around 150% of your fleet levy could be garrisoned in the harbor could be used if a official rule wasn't made. Orders are in, rp will come tomorrow.

The Redwyne Armada of over two hundred vessels of varying size and armament was serving as the vanguard of the Reach's massive fleet as they sailed into Shipbreaker Bay, the violet and burgundy sails scattering any rebel merchant ship, fisherman, or patrol vessel until the fleet made it halfway into the Bay, Storm's End on the horizon with a fleet slightly over half of the size of the Reach's fleet assembling in battle formation to block the path of the Reachmen. The Redwyne fleet slows down as the shouts of scouts and crewman spread throughout the fleet, which begins to form into the battle lines drawn up by the four admirals commanding the fleet on their way through the Blackwater Bay in case of battle was offered by either the Valesman or Stormlander fleet.

"So it begins. If we win, Storm's End will be cut off from any seaborne supplies and Tarth will be isolated as well. From what I can gather the war has been relatively indecisive so far, perhaps we may be able to change that by menacing the Stormlands, perhaps they may believe we have a massive Reachman army on board to dump on their shores to ransack their lands and invest the Baratheon seat from the land.." Lady Redwyne thinks to herself as she finishes a goblet of Arbor Gold and exits her quarters, entering the chaotic situation that the fleet is in as the ships align for battle..

I am stepping in and rolling this battle with simplified orders for both sides since it has taken so long to get rolled.

    Battle of Shipbreaker Bay:

    Reach:
    3,604 points x (D*20 + 4) = 3,604 x (5 + 4) = 32,436
    Stormlands:
    2,050 points x 8 = 16,400

    Reach Fleet wins.

    Ship Losses:

Stormlands: 50% or 347 ships lost.
    Reach: 174 ships are lost

    Captured Ship:

    Stormlands Ships Remaining:

    170 Levy Ships
    85 Dromonds
    82 Heavy Galleys
    30 AOR Ships
    10 Grand Warships

    Total: 347 ships

    Reach Ships Remaining:

    406 Levy Ships
    252 Dromonds
    170 Heavy Galleys
    94 AOR Ships
    28 Grand Warships

    Total: 950 warships

    Captured Stormlander Ships:

    Rolled 152, 152 * 0.25 = 38 ships

    17 Levy Ships
    9 Dromonds
    9 Heavy Galleys
    2 AOR Ships
    1 Grand Warships

ooc : That one Stormlands Grand Warship that was captured is going to be the Fury.

A squall of rain and moderate breeze coming in from the Narrow Sea marked the beginning of the battle, supporting the Reach's movement towards their Stormlands counterparts. The Redwyne Armada was the main force of the center along with a mixture of vessels from other regions of the Reach, the fleet of Oldtown and a portion of it's vassals serving as the reserve which was shadowing the movements of the left flank to move past the engagement and envelop the Stormlords' fleet, the left was mainly ships of the northern coast and Shields, while the rest of the vessel and remaining portion of Oldtown's vassals made up the right wing of the fleet. The bait squadrons of smaller ships would be the first to engage the Stormlords, some of their lighter ships rushing forward against the wind to engage their counterparts, who then turns and began luring the Stormlords into the center of the Reach fleet.

Rohanne observed the initial engagements from the bow of her flagship, the sound of hundreds of drummers thundering in the rain as the main body of the Reach's fleet advances and engages the Stormlands fleet, the first ship falling prey to hers was a levy ship smashed apart by it's ram while the scorpions and other emplaced artillery of the Monoceros fire a storm of bolts and several rocks from the catapults mounted on the bow and stern of the massive warship. Around her the battle raged on, numerous ships being lit ablaze by incendiary shot from either side, several ships of the Stormlords being overrun by marines of the Reach, and yet she focused her gaze on a massive warship approaching her own flying the Baratheon Stag in plain sight. "Looks like we found the greatest prize of all, the Baratheon flagship! Prepare to board!"

The black-hulled, four decked behemoth lumbered forward, shattering a Dromond bearing the banners of House Estermont in the process that was circling around one of the other violet-sailed warships of the Redwynes, and fired a rock coated in pitch towards it's Baratheon counterpart. A rock from the Stormlands flagship flew overhead, hitting the heavy galley tailing the Monoceros and knocking off two of it's sails. As the massive warships approached each other, the Monoceros moved slightly to the side to evade the ram of it's counterpart and give the crew the chance they needed to throw grappling hooks over to the Baratheon ship and within minutes, the crew of the two flagships were embroiled in a vicious melee, all the while ships burned, were sunk, or fought similar battles all around them. Rohanne fired a crossbow bolt over at a crewman of the enemy before making her way into the fray, cutting a path through the enemy's crew with the few elite guards she has with her towards the Stormlander "admiral", a mere knight of Tarth jumped up beyond his station apparently before the battle as his tactics were relatively simple from her observation, as if he just sailed forward and hoped to smash the enemy. The knight roared insults at her and charged, a duel beginning between the two that would leave him dead and the Lady lightly injured. As the crew had finished off any who did not surrender, Rohanne looked around as the Stormlander fleet had been broken, with Lord Hightower and Ser Goldwyne's flagships off in the distance leading a pursuit attempt of the fleeing Stormlords. "Victory..hopefully this will make the Baratheons nervous knowing their fleet is severely injured and now the Reach controls the Bay.." she then begins making her way back to the Monoceros to be treated by Ossifer's assistant who she dragged along in case of injury and to await a estimated casualty report of the battle.
    --------------
On the left flank, Ser Lucifer Redwyne smirks as he watches the remains of another Stormlander ship sink after being rammed by his flagship, the Auriga. Unlike his sister's Monoceros, the Auriga was designed for ramming and boarding, having a double reinforced forward hull and a powerful ram. His squadron was doing well until the wind died, although being the southernmost of the Reach's fleet they managed to receive more speed from the wind than the others were. The sole catapult on the ship managed to hit the center of what appeared to be another Stormlords' flagship, a small three-decked ship that went down in a blaze. After the sixth victim to the Auriga's ram fell, Lucifer turned to his right only to see a ship unique to the Stormlands throwing grapples over and boarding his ship. "The fools think they can seize our ship, men! Let's show them the little surprise we brought with us!" A horn was blown, and dozens of Redwyne soldiers kept below deck rush up to join the crew in fending off the Stormlords and chasing them back over to their ship, claiming it as a prize.

By the time the crew had gotten themselves free of the now captured ship, the battle was nearly over, but some apparently suicidally brave galley had begun to board them as well, meeting a similar fate as the other, larger ship. Lucifer killed their captain, but suffered a blow that nearly knocked him over from the captain's mace. Afterwards, he sat muttering about Stormlords likely in a insulting tone as he watched the reserve and right flank cut off some Stormlords retreating and damage any that broke through.

ooc : Apparently as compensation for the delay I'm being allowed to raid Tarth.

Three days after the battle of Shipbreaker's Bay, the Reach fleet and it's prizes sail towards Tarth, arriving in the evening with the captured Stormlander ships in front still bearing their original owner's banners as part of a ruse thought up by Lady Redwyne to perhaps allow half of the landing parties access to the small castle port town near Evenfall Hall, while the other half land further north to raid the coastal villages. "If this works, we may be able to lure the other main rebel fleet south when Storm's End hears of this and knows they can't face our fleet alone so they send ravens to the Vale for aid. We then decimate the Valesman fleet and the remaining Stormlords in one fell swoop." "If they take the bait of this raid. Otherwise all we'll get from this is some loot." "What's wrong with that? While it is not the ideal outcome...it could be a suitable result." "At least it'd be payback for what they did to the eastern Reach." 'Exactly, now get going...you'll be leading the main assault." Lucifer nods and heads to the small rowboat bobbing in the waves next to the Monoceros to begin his journey to the Stormlander ships ahead of the formation to lead them while Ser Goldwyne leads the secondary force, and his sister remains with the fleet in case of the remaining Stormlord ships decide to reform and attack them.

    Composition :
-Force aboard the captured Stormlands ships "
    300 Light Infantry (300 points)
    262 Archers (262 points)
    200 Heavy Infantry (400 points)
    100 Heavy Cavalry (300 points)
    100 Light Cavalry (100 points)

    Secondary Force
    555 Light Infantry (555 points)
    544 Polearms (816 points)
    500 Archers (500 points)
    408 Heavy Infantry (816 points)
    36 Heavy Cavalry (108 points)
    208 Light Cavalry (208 points)
