RoTS and sister clans
Im thinking about starting up and seriously playing a RoTS campaign. My question is is it a good idea to take out my sister clan from the start? I always feel like they just get in the way regardless of who Im playing. Unless there is a team victory but I dont think there is sense your sister declares war on you once you get to strong. Opinions?

Re: RoTS and sister clans
I've only played ROTS a couple of times (I like FOTS better), but I'd say it depends on who you play. If you start in the north I'd definately attack your clan-brethren quickly. You share a long border, and have few ways to expand without leaving your rear exposed.
If you play the southern clan I think you can divide Japan between you, with one going south and the other towards the centre, and settle the score later, when your clan is dominant. I have no experience with the middle clan.
