The son of an old but rather financially challenged lineage of Riverlander nobility, Ser Jonothor Paragon had been born at Riverrun and spent almost all of his life there. He had squired with the Tullys and shared every rite of passage with Lord Tully's eldest son and heir, to whom he had been appointed as a sort of...older brother, knight, overseer, governor, instructor type role. Indeed, many said he was a Tully in all but name.
This time it was no different - he and Edmure were to weather their first rebellion - Seven-willing, their first and last. Leaving his young companion at Riverrun, where he was nominally in charge of the force guarding the Tully seat, Jonothor marched south to the Stony Sept, a strategic move intended to guard against any sudden and unexpected moves by the Lannisters. From there he turned about and marched on Willow Wood, seat of House Ryger and a loyalist stronghold on the God's Eye.
