    Default The Battle of Goodbrook

As the banners of House Tully of Riverrun set out to quash the loyalist lords, Ser Brynden Tully heads for Goodbrook, a Lordship bordering the God's Eye and not far removed from Riverrun itself - indeed, the nearest of the so-called "loyalist" Lords to Riverrun. He rides forth with Riverrun's direct levies to destroy the Goodbrook levies and take the fort.

Commander: Ser Brynden Tully (+3 Battles, +2 Scout, +1 Pathfinder, +3 Duelist, +3 Survival)
    Troops: 750 Heavy Infantry
    3,075 Light Infantry
    1,000 Polearm Infantry
    1,125 Archers
    750 Light Cavalry
    250 Heavy Cavalry

Mechanics: Setting out from Riverrun at 23:59PM and arriving at Goodbrook 7:11AM today (7.2 Hours travel) attack the loyalist levy and then siege the fort.

Readying for battle Ser Brynden divides his men into three flanks:

Each flank with 250 Heavy Infantry and 1,025 Light Infantry
300 Polearm Infantry on each outer flank and 400 in the middle
500 Archers on each outer flank and 125 in the middle
250 Heavy Cavalry and 500 Light Cavalry in the center flank

Need enemy forces totals. 90% of whatever High Lord + his vassals that you're attacking.

I've been told High Lord is rebel, only Ryger of Willow Wood and Goodsbrook of Goodsbrook rebelled of his vassals.

So 2276 men total, broken down into:
    356 Heavy Infantry
    890 Light Infantry
    473 Polearms
    534 Archers
    356 Light Cavalry
    118 Heavy Cavalry

    Your troops:

    701 H Inf
    2812 L Inf
    932 Polearms
    1125 Archers
    244 H Cav
    702 L Cav

Less than 500 enemy troops escaped, it was a slaughter due to the numerical advantage.

Are those the troops I have left, or my casualties?

Left. 701 of your 750 Heavy Infantry died? That'd be outrageous!

I was a little worried, I have to say

    --

Commander: Ser Brynden Tully (+3 Battles, +2 Scout, +1 Pathfinder, +3 Duelist, +3 Survival)

The Goodbrooks are offered their life and safety if they will surrender themselves, their castle and remaining levy to Tully control and pay a one-time ransom of 5,000 Gold Dragons to forestall against any raiding or pillaging of their land.

Asked for a surrender roll. Using HB's maths for earlier (Grassy Vale), 18/20 chance and I roll a 14, surrendered.

They just surrender. If you want money you need to take it as loot.

    Rolled an 8.
