The chambers of Lady Rhaella are spacious, with wide, arched, windows, that allows the Queen to glance a sight of the Godswood, the gardens and the sept. All her predecessors in the Queenship had made the chambers splendid and magnificent, as fitting for her status. Long curtains, in black and red, hung from a great canopy, concealing the bed. Nearby, attached to the Queen's own were ladies-in-waiting' chambers, and one prepared for the Queen's son, Viserys, who Rhaella long struggled to protect from his father's abuse. Usually a pair of Kinsguards protect, or better, watch, the Queen.
RHAELLA TARGARYEN
Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, sister-wife to Aerys II
Born 284 AC
Status: Married
Children: Rhaegar Targaryen, Viserys Targaryen
Biography: Rhaella was the sole daughter of Jaehaerys II Targaryen, she was as beautiful as a Dragon princess could be, nor a single maid, be Lannister or Tyrell, surpassed her beauty. She was loved by the small-folk, by her works of charity, piety and her comely presence by the side of his father. She was once in love, with Ser Bonifer Hasty, a handsome, valiant and poor landed knight who sought her hand. However fate decided otherwise; his father read that the Prince Who Was Promised was to be born from his lineage and such forcefully married his children. The marriage with Aerys was never joyful, married against their will they could never kindle the flame of love and affection, however they could endure each other quite well, even if there wasn't love between both. However Aerys slip into darkness and madness, his melancholic nature broken into pieces at Duskendale. Then the horror began. Beatings, abuse and terror filled her life, even more after his lord husband burned or executed someone. Now his beauty has withered, and the marks of her torment is visible all over his body, to many's dismay. While his husband is losing the grip on sanity she has long shut her eyes and ears and tries to protect his children as good as she is able to, with the young Viserys always near her. She usually wears the crown of Queen Alysanne, and gowns with the colors of her house; while his husband is decrepit and filthy she tries to resemble what she is supposed to be, even if fear and abuse have long payed its toll on the queen.
