From what I read in the forum, Selea was mad about them because of the huge amount of work that was being put into them to a near zero effect (according to him, almost no one noticed the different looks on them). Plus, apparently they were causing some performance troubles due to the many different textures and variations. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, Selea made posts about the subject quite a long time ago and I haven't even read all of them. Also, on a side-note here: have any of you guys on the team heard of him lately?

Quite right. The sheer effort and the side effects were simply not worth it. In fact, I think it was a damn good decision as the resources can be put in much better focus. And no, we haven't heard from him. But he will always be mod leader, and we still hope that he will be back.

um, are you completely sure you havent heard about selea? im pretty sure he updated the DeI download post with Part 6 and the little patches (o.9a,b,c,d,e,f,g)

The reason for this is that the post was made by Selea and will remain that way. But Dresden edited the post with the local moderator access.

For example, I can modify your post but the post will still show as made by you. But there will be a small blue link saying the post was edited by someone.
