    Doesn't sound like a virus.

But you can check your active processes (ctrl+alt+del) and see if something is sucking up all your processor speed.

#1: Disconnect from the internet and see if performance increases.
#2: Try running scans in safe mode.

    Well thanks Erik.

I did find out that Google toolbar is sucking up something awful.(no idea why)

I will check back if anything else happens.

I don't think Google toolbar should consume many resources if your not using it.

    I suspect it's indeed spyware.
Or maybe Google toolbar is locked into some kind of search loop?
Try disabeling Google Toolbar and maybe delete and re-install it.

I advise everyone not to have any sort of toolbars installed. They are resource hungry (bandwith/memory) and quite useless, once you have firefox or opera.

I recommend people to use hijack this! program, to get rid of malicious software and useless - either - pre-installed or installed later - programs and browser hijackers, which you do not use and not needed. It is also great to sort out programs, that are running in the background.

McAfee really isnt the best software to be using. If you have the means, get Zone Alarms Security Sweet (Costs maybe $30?). I have never once had a problem while using it.

Aside from that, sounds like you just have a really bad spyware problem to me.

Get Spy Sweeper. Its the best way to protect your computer from adware and spyware. Its also the reason my computer keeps going.
