Default Greenstone, seat of House Estermont

Located in a rocky Island in the narrow sea Greenstone is the seat of House Estermont, the castle is old but strong with it's rocks green from lichen.

    House Estermont

For thousands of years there has always been an Estermont ruling Greenstone, tales from the age of Heroes tell of an Andal warrior whom ship's had crashed but was saved by a great turtle who brought him to Estermont where he established his House. True or not, the family ruled for a long time as Petty-Kings of Cape Wrath until they were brought down by the Durrandons and became High Lords. Ever since the conquests the Estermonts have been accepting of Targaryen and Baratheon rule, however the late Lord Eldon's sister Cassana is the mother of the rebel Robert prompting his Estermont cousins to fight together with the Stag against the Crown.

    Lord Andrew Estermont
    Lord Andrew Estermont

"My brother is a great warrior,a handsome man and a powerful lord, aye, but he has the easy sort of pride that comes with all that. It will yet be his downfall." -Stannis Estermont on his brother

    Born 256 AL (aged 31)
Title: Lord of Greenstone, High Lord of Cape Wrath
    Marital status: Single
    Skill(s):
A born commander (+1 to Naval and Land Battles): Lord Andrew has shown a great prowess when commanding soldiers and ships at his attempts to root out piracy in Cape Wrath.
A skilled warrior (+2 to Duels and +1 to Joust): Growing up in a castle means training in arms since childhood, young Andrew showed skill in it.
Smooth Talker (+1 to charisma): Lord Estermont's gregariousness has made him many friends and yet more lovers.
Victor of Grassy Vale (+1 to Battles): Lord Andrew tested his mettle and won the battle of Grassy Vale alongside Robert Baratheon.
Castle Forged Shortsword (+3 duels): Upon returning from the rebellion Andrew forged a new sword from the metal of his enemies' blades, appropriately he called it "The Black Dread"
Steel Plate Armor (+10hp and +2 Duels): Lord Andrew ordered a new set of mail made for himself.

Appearance: Andrew Estermont is a handsome young Lord with Green eyes and flowing dark brown hair which reaches his shoulders, he has no beard or freckles. Andrew is tall and his military training has earned muscles, he has a scar on his right cheek from chin to ear gained by a pirate dagger. His eyes are green as jade.

Bio: Without any doubt the Lord of Estermont is a warrior first and foremost, growing up as his father's heir he was lectured in administration and history, while he does not lack in understanding it he never gave those disciplines much thought. Good with a lance and better with a sword since very young he was the terror of the other boys in the yard, much to his father's pride. Squiring for Lord Swann in his youth Andrew was knighted at the age of 16 after winning a squire only meele in Stonehelm. When he returned to Greenstone his Lord Father gave him leave to hunt the pirates that plagued Cape Wrath much to Andrew's delight. In a two year campaign he patrolled the Cape, seized pirate ships and eventually hunted them to their strongholds in the Stepstones where his hunt reached it's climax when the young knight dueled and slew the infamous captain Ellario Marosii, although the pirate left him a scar to remember him. Young, handsome, skilled in arms and proven in battle Andrew developed an easy pride and became the spotlight of Greenstone's court. His companions were old friends from his warding times, his brothers in arms and other young knights at Greenstone, foreign dignitaries, merchant daughters, young servants, ladies in waiting and the daughters of his future bannermen were his lovers and his enemy was his younger brother. Stannis and Andrew always had an uneasy relationship that befits a jealous younger brother and the family's golden son, and although Stannis was skilled in arms and lectures he lived his entire life in Andrew's shadow and a rivalry developed among the two. By a stroke of misfortune his parents drowned in a particularly fierce storm when returning from a visit to the Free Cities, this tragedy left Andrew as the family's head. Although the young Lord has showed no particular skill brilliance in administration Greenstone is not brankrupt, yet.

    Ser Stannis Estermont
    Ser Stannis Estermont

"An empty headed jackpot if I ever saw one." - Lord Andrew Estermont on his brother

    Born 262 AL (aged 25)
    Title: Ser
Marital status: Bethroted to Joy Caron
    Skill(s):
Thought to beat (+2 to Duels and +1 to Joust): Stannis trained in arms as every other lordling, he proved himself difficult to beat by his fellow squires.
Stubborn (+3 to Survival): Determined and stubborn he will fight to the bitter end and then some more.

Appearance: A strong young man with great strength and skill, black hair, a strong jaw and a thick neck.

Bio: As most second sons oft are Stannis is very jealous of his older brother, the Lord of Greenstone. Spending his youth in the yard while watching his brother being brilliant at just about everything only made him more bitter. Severely lacking Andrew's charisma he has few friends but for his loyal companion Herbert Mertyn, Stannis is hot tempered and serious honestly believing he would be a better lord then his brother. Recently his brother bethrothed Stannis to Joy Caron, six years his elder, what most must have thought of as a cruel jape Stannis embraced the idea assuming it would gain him greater political influence.

"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

Approaching from the southeast, a small war galley baring the colors of House Hightower is seen sailing towards the Harbor of Greenstone. A raven is sent from the ship requesting for permission to disembark and for a meeting with Lord Estermont.

The envoys of House Hightower were met by a small escort at the harbor, half a dozen mounted men at arms and a middle aged Knight leading them with dark hair streaked grey. Ser Rolland Ashram, captain of the garrison led the men of House Hightower inside castle Estermont where they met with the castellan, Ser Garth Estermont called "The Old Turtle" he was past sixty, with a bald spotted head and a long white beard. Smiling a toothless smile he greeted them. "Welcome friends! What brings you to Greenstone? I trust your journey has been pleasant? Ah to be young and sail the seas......"

The small Hightower followed the Estermont men quietly, admiring the local architecture, climate, and people. Although it was nothing compared to grandeur of Oldtown, Greenstone was a nice and charming place. The leader of the party, Ser Tommen Hightower, the third son of Lord Hightower, joined his men in admiring Greenstone and he replied to Ser Garth with a nervous smile and said

"I thank you for the welcome Ser Garth and the journey was most uneventful except for a few minor storms that we pasted whenw e entered your waters. The 'Storm' lands indeed. I am Ser Tommen Hightower and I have come on behalf of my father, Lord Simon Hightower. He wishes to establish a trade lane between Oldtown and Greenstone. In exchange for your superior Stormlander armor that we saw on display at the Battle of the Grassy Vale, we offer you the best Fruits from the Reach from the most fertile area of the reach, the lands lying next tot he Honeywine River, my family's lands."

"Heh what a glorious display it must have been!" Garth seemed altogether unconcerned that this men were the losers of that battle, Andrew had not exactly given him any instructions in case of trade but he knew his great-nephew wouldn't mind, most likely "I will accept and as a token of good will gift you this newly forged suit of mail as a guarantee of our quality." The Castellan signaled forth and two guardsmen brought a fine hauberk of ringmail, recently forged. Smiling once again his toothless smile the Old Knight continue "Next time we meet in battle might be this will make us even heh? Also you mentioned fruits? Have you any with you now?" Old Garth's eyes shone greedily.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. "Perhaps Ser Garth, perhaps." said Ser Tommen as he carefully examined the hauberk."This is truly an excellently made hauberk Ser Garth. Yes, we have fruits with us in two forms, fresh from tress carefully packed in the crates and in the form of wine, with five years vintage. Would you care for some now?"

The Old Knight's eyes shone greedly "Yes, yes. Pour us a flagon please!" After sipping his wine with care he once more returned to politics "Tell me friend, have you any unmarried men in your House? My great-nieces, Lord Andrew's sisters, are still unmarried and surely it would be prestigious to marry the first cousins of King Robert and to heal some of the wounds caused in the war."
"We all know whatmy brother would do. "Yes Ser Garth, there are still unmarried men in House Hightower. My two elder brothers, Ser Garth Hightower, the eldest, and my brother Ser Lorent, are married to other noble families in the Reach. Behind them, I am first unmarried Hightower son to not be married yet, although my father is no doubt searching for marriage for myself." said Ser Tommen. He paused drink a sip of wine before he continued. "Behind me, my younger Preston and my cousin Tytos are the only other Hightower men left unmarried."

The Old Knight stuck a peach with his knife and started to eat it, in a most gruesome manner "Yes, yes I see it." With some of the peach's juice now falling down in torrents from his lips and staining the good fabric of his coat he continued "Then I'd like to propose to yourself a marriage into House Estermont good Ser. Lord Andrew's two sisters, Alysanne and Argella are respectively twenty and six and ten and will be good wives for their husbands I'm sure."

I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

Unfazed by the somewhat crude eating habits of Ser Garth, Ser Tommen Hightower replied after a short moment to think about the offer. He said "I have no option but to accept Ser Garth. I can see no greater honor than marrying into a family that holds a relation to our new King and I am sure that my father will not object to this marriage. Since I myself am only 18 Ser Garth, I think that it would be more appropriate of me to wed the younger of Lord Andrew's sisters, Lady Argella is it? What do you think my Lord?"

    Ser Garth Estermont, Greenstone

Ser Garth opened his mouth to speak and little pieces of peach flew out of it, into Tommen's good coat and the table one could only hope that the eating habits did not run in the family "Very well that is settled, I shall inform Lord Andrew through a raven and the marriage can happen as soon as it is convenient to you." Leaning back on his chair the gruesome Knight started to pick his teeth with his peach stained knife.

OOC: Do you want to rp the wedding? Or just say, they're married and be done with it.

Again, Ser Tommen brushed aside the crudeness of Ser Garth, although it was becoming increasingly difficult to do so, making him wonderful if he was a bit rash in setting up this marriage in fear that his future wife may have the same habits. He hoped not. He flicked the piece of the peach from his coat and replied
"I shall send to my father of the marriage as well. We can have the marriage after I return from an endeavor to the North on a trade mission. That should not take more than a few months, plenty of time to prepare everything for the ceremony."

OOC: I'm fine with having them be married. Most wedding Rps, unless its between the LP Houses are boring to do.

"My name is Mya m'lady. I don't think guards would normally be needed, this is normally a decent place you know but the men have not returned from war yet and well you met Ser Garth and Ser Rolland cares not for what goes on inside the walls, they are the castellans here."
She sighted sadly "Lord Andrew used to protect me but now that he is off to the capital I don't know, I hope someone less bad will be in charge, Ser Stannis is unfriendly but not cruel although I'd much rather Ser Renly run things, but he is not an Estermont."

"Very well then!" Ser Garth slammed his knife in the table with a thud and extended his hand to Ser Tommen "A pleasure great-nephew in law! You can meet Argella soon if you want!" If Ser Tommen wanted to check he would that Argella, although not beautiful as her sister was clever and polite with perfectly adequate eating habits.

OOC: Sure then, don't really need to reply to that it was just to show that he is alone in eating like a barbarian.

"Mya eh what a pretty name. There is a girl at The Eyrie with the same name, rumoured to be the daughter of King Robert. I hope you have been ok in Lord Andrews absence, Ser Garth and Ser Rolland have never forced themselves upon you at all have they?"

"Thank you, no. Ser Rolland prefers his sword over women I think and Ser Garth, well he used to be better but somethings not so right on his head anymore." She sighted sadly "My son keeps most of these malefactors away, Andrew would never let him get hurt." Mya led Ryella through the empty courtyard toward the New Tower, built by Andrew's grandfather and where the guests were usually housed.

An envoy from House Baelish enters your hall.

As she approaches to speak with you get a look at her.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

"My lord" she says with a curtsey"I am Ryella of House Baelish and I come with a proposal on behalf of House Arryn and my brother Petyr. I come to propose that House Estermont open a trade agreement with House Arryn. Your Armour for their Stone. What say you my lord?"

    Ser Garth Estermont, Greenstone

The lady of House Baelish was lead to the great tower of Greenstone, aptly named "The Green Tower" to show it's builders lack of creativity. Inside she was brought to a spacious room, with a fire burning in the hearth, a small table with a half eaten lunch and an old yet tall man sitting lazily on an oaken chair. Ser Garth Estermont, with a long white beard and a spotted bald head took in the sight of Ryella lustfully. The Old Knight looked at her in an uncomfortable way as a man takes in a beautiful sight, which she nonetheless was. Still staring at her plentiful bosom the castellan answered, his voice vague and distant "Yes, yes trade all you want great profit and whatever. Would you care for some wine?" Without waiting for an answer he poured two cups, or tried too as he spilled the fine Dornish Red on his linen shirt with a curse.

OOC: I totally just realised I said that she was Petyr's sister, she is actually his cousin.

IC: Ryella knew the look only too well. She had been sent on many envoy missions by her cousin and uncle and every time whether married or unmarried the lords would turn into a pile of mush before her. "I'm glad you would accept my lord, this trade will benefit both of our Houses" her words fell almost on deaf ears. "I would love a glass, travelling about the land is thirsty work. To the new trade between Arryn and Estermont" She said as her glass clanked against the old man's before taking a sip of the wine.

Ser Garth could care less what the trade would bring exactly, his orders by Andrew were only to find trade partners should there be any to find and he guessed stone was as good as any other, the old Turtle Tower was in dire need of repairs anyway. Eyes glinting he clanked his glass, never taking his eyes from her and poured more enthusiastically. "Oh yes thirsty work indeed, perhaps you would like to rest here for today? Your return to the Vale can surely wait and you must be weary from the ship travels."

"I have no choice but to stay the night my lord, the ship back to King's Landing will set sail tomorrow. I had intended to stay at an inn for the night."
