I think you mean a UV Texture Map, a Diffuse decides how much glow and/or how reflective an objective is, which I don't think will be required for this object, because when I imagine a warhammer of iron is that it should be very dull & scratchy looking. However to answer your question you'll not need to worry about UV Mapping, I will take care of that. I'll also include a few good textures that you could use for it.
If you want I could make a quick tutorial of what I did when I made it.
So what I've done is that I've modeled the entire thing in Autodesk Maya, UV Mapped it (so you can add textures), exported it as a FBX file. I also added it to 3DS Max and exported an extra file that is CS2. I'll now list the things that are inside the RAR file:
iron_warhammer_model - FBX file
iron_warhammer_texture - TGA file (which are my own textures that I added to the hammer)
iron_warhammer_model - CS2 file
texture_hammer_UVMap - PNG file (If you want to add your own textures)
And a bunch of random textures such as, Iron texture #1, Iron texture #2 and a leather texture.

I cannot really assist you more other than this. I don't really have all the knowledge when it comes to modding Rome 2, as of yet.
