    1. The All-mighty Selucid Empire takes over the east and quickly becomes a world power
    2. The Germans form the axis of evil between tribes (be it a confederacy, a series of millitary alliances or both) and rule germania with an iron fist, if i wage war of them at least 2 of my armies suffer Varus' and his legion's fate
    3. Carthage doesnt become a gigantic empire, instead, it has full control over the mediterranian via massive amounts of fleets and transports
    4. The Armenians wage war against pontus and ends up with half of asia minor under their command
    5. Rome Doesnt expand, like, at all. it conquers cisalpina and provincia MAX.
    6. One Arab faction to rule them all, one arab faction to find them, one arab faction to bring them all, and in the darkness, bind them (arabia becomes unified under one banner)

    1) Rome gets slightly bigger, then sits around for a while and eventually starts losing territory.

    2) Carthage and their allies control the Mediterranian and assail you with endless small fleets if you fight them.

    3) Athens is almost impossible to trade with.

    4) Eventually everybody wants to be friends with you due to your increasing power.

Lol so true. Game enters easy mode after you have ~10 regions. It's sad because it makes me lose interest, and I don't get to late games.

++Your potential ally/trading partner attacks you the turn before bribing them because you aren't at war with anyone.

    1. The All-mighty Selucid Empire takes over the east and quickly becomes a world power
This doesn't happen with me as Ptolemoi usually beats the living daylights out of Seleucia, taking over Syria.

    2. The Germans form the axis of evil between tribes (be it a confederacy, a series of millitary alliances or both) and rule germania with an iron fist, if i wage war of them at least 2 of my armies suffer Varus' and his legion's fate
Sometimes the Gauls expand as well in this fashion, I find it that Barbarian tribes form confederations a lot easier when they are AI. These confederations will eventually sack Rome and ravage through the Italian peninsular.

    3. Carthage doesnt become a gigantic empire, instead, it has full control over the mediterranian via massive amounts of fleets and transports
Carthage gets hit hard by Rome and Syracusae, whiles its allies gain more power and eventually surpass Carthage, and then they take the fight to Syracusae and even Rome. I forgot their name starts with an "M" greyish-black coloured faction.

    4. The Armenians wage war against pontus and ends up with half of asia minor under their command.
Yes Armenia always gains control of Asia Minor, and so does Galatia. Pontus if they do extend, go North East towards Bosporus.

    5. Rome Doesnt expand, like, at all. it conquers cisalpina and provincia MAX.
Rome barely expands beyond the Italian peninsula and once they do, they just stay put and await one of the barbarian confederations from the North, and the Carthaginian ally from the south.

    6. One Arab faction to rule them all, one arab faction to find them, one arab faction to bring them all, and in the darkness, bind them (arabia becomes unified under one banner)
Arabs always form a contiguous empire, but at least this is historically accurate as Arab nations shared less borders historically than they do current day.

    7. AT LEAST one Gallic confederation gets killed early game.
I take it you meant to say faction? Yes in that case it is understandable, many Gallic factions start out as one region factions. Lose that faction, and I can see why they will be wiped out early game by other rivalling factions.

    1) Massilia become a large empire which controll the aplin regions paonnia illyria cisalpina and other parts of Gaul regions or it control a lot of spain and gaul.
    2) Sparta or Athen kick Epirus and Macedon out of the Game and share the controll over Hellas, Macedon, Illyria and Thracia.
    3) Island based Factions like Crete or Rhodes be allways untouched by other AI and Play superagressive again Human Epirus and Macedon players. If i found them at the Map they declare war direct when i play one of this both Factions
    4) Carthage allways lose Africa and Sizillia to Syrakuse or get overun at Africa by Ptolemaians but can hold Sardina and Corsica and Hispania
    5) Ptolemai overun Africa and be passive again the Selucid Empire and if the Selucid Empire dont get overun by Armenia Pontus Pergamon Parthia or one of the Eastern Strapaties it will Overun them because they hold all armys at Carthage
    6) Parthia had show up at the West and overun Selucid Empire
    7) Selucid Empire normal lose the East and Asia Minor but if it start war again Ptolemai they overun them and Cilica fast
    8) Pontus overun Asia Minor and Bosporan and someties even Armenia and Persia
    9) German Tribes grow fast and overun Paonia and Ilyria or be never seen

1)Sparta becomes a major power. Apparently their real world crippled economy, navy and cavalry are no hindrance, and neither is their long decline. Unless Athens takes down Epirus first, at which point they become a major power despite their real world reluctance to serve in the military.

2)Carthage looses its capital, and often the rest of North Africa, and is perfectly content to start anew as a minor power in Spain, never attempting to retake its homeland.

3)One of the minor Illyrian factions, Delmente I think their name is, goes on rampage and usually owns a whole province or two before they meet Sparta.

4)Galatia adopts the foreign policy equivalent of a rabid dog, and is put down accordingly by its many pissed of neighbors.

5)Rome outgrows its quest to rule the world, and instead retires to a nice quite life, content to wage a war on Carthage from Italy, and never actually trading blows due to lack of shared borders.

6)Germany unites under one banner, either through diplomacy, or fire and steel. Usually under the Suebi.

7)The Averni grow to dominate most of Gaul. To think Ceaser had a hard time with them divided...

8)The Iceni unite most of the British isles, declare war on something in the mainland, and then like Rome decide that bloodless wars are the finest kind.

9)The eastern satrapies, occasionally aided by Armenia and always by Ptolemy, carve up the Seleucid empire and divide it among themselves with minimal effort.

    10) The hordes of the steppe conquer parts of Dacia, but never move on to become a threat to the rest of the civilized world. They're really more of a hazard to each other.

11)Ever since pirates and raiders, Macedon's days are numbered. Sometimes they don't even last as long as Epirus.

    1) The seleukids get gang-raped by ptolemy, nabatea and all his vassals
    2) In all but two games (one of which iīm currently in) epirus gets pwned in the first 30 turns or so
    3) Suebi get really big, really quick and donīt accept any kind of trade. furthermore, they declare war on you, no matter if you share borders or live on the other side of the globe
    4) Nomads dont amount to t
    5) Baktria gets really big, and then get raped by its remaining neighbours
    6) Rome takes italy, sometimes illyria and then chills

Since I only really play one campaign per patch, only 3 things really ever happen.

-Suebi becomes the real first Reich and blitz EVERYTHING. They then take all the northeastern Europe all the way down to the Balkans and slowly wax and wane until they anger enough people that everyone declares war on them.
-Carthage gets wrecked by everyone and gets exiled to Corsica and Sardinia. Fleets everywhere.
-Rome dies fairly early on and some Illyrian tribe replaces them. That tribe is usually Ardiei, or however you spell it.

Many thanks to the good folks down at the Graphics Workshop for the sig.

I recently got Mitch's major faction empires mod. It basically gives an auto-resolve bonus to major factions (CA official playable factions) which dictate the result of out of sight battles between AI factions. However, you can edit the list of major factions with a .txt file. I've set up to where only Rome, Carthage, the Antigonids, the Ptolemies, the Seleukids, Epirus, the Averni, the Lusitani, Pontus, and Parthia get the bonus.

Some major noted differences for me.
-Syracuse no longer kicks Carthage out of Sicily. Carthage usually conquers Garamatia or the Edetani.
-Sparta/Athens no longer curbstomps Greece and Dacia/Thrace.
-Epirus now survives past turn 10.
-Seleukid Empire no longer curbstomped by Hayadasan.
-Averni survive past turn 5, and in fact conquer most of Gaul.

Just to add that the Antigonids usually last longer and expand too.

    2) Everyone wants to be your friend.
    3) Every Ally ask to declare war to an other faction
    4) Every faction where you are in war with, ask after 5 or 6 turns for a peace treaty, and on top of that, they dare to ask allot of money whilly they are begging for peace.
    5) Every Celtic faction becomes a confederation
    6) Masalia is everytime whiped out by an Celtic faction, mostly by the Averni
    7) Every faction demands a huge amount of money from you, before you can trade with them.
    8) When I'm in war with a faction, it takes ages before I see an army from them
