Default There is no sound in the game

Hi everyone! I'm from Russia, so I apologize for my bad English.
    I have a problem in Shogun 2.
When I go to the main menu, the sound disappears from the game (but in the video before the main menu (3d-video) there is sound).
Reboot the game, Steam, PC-no sound.
Turn the sound from the headphone speakers-no sound.
In ALL other games have sound. For example, in Rome 2.

First question all techs have to ask. Is mute box checked in the Options page?

Sorry for the late reply. I had to check my copy.
Is it set to "Windows Default"? Sorry but my Russian is worse than your English.
Have you tried each of the settings in there? Mayeb a different will work.

have you try custom battle did it sound come out ? Like irishron said maybe you should try different setting for speaker, if all setting has ben tested and still dont work try to change "bit" too, if still fail, i suggest update sound card, if still fail well, the last resort is reinstall the game. Hope it helps

    Sound card driver is updated
I try custom battle, no sound.
But there was an interesting addition:
The campaign does not start. A strip in the middle and all.

Did this problem is your first time problem as first install ? if yes, then either u use a pirate version that miss rusia languange, or pirate version that realy have very bad decompresion ,so the audio is missing, (either download again), anyway since it break the forum rule we cant give more support but, there is another forum outside this, try google it.

If you use demo version from steam, or you just buy from steam, then its should work correctly, if not just redownload again or reinstall again, anyway its should work.
About video have sound yes since video using rad yes basicly its will have sound when play.

    Hope it helps
