R.I.P. Lord Flashheart.
WOOF!
Here's an obituary.
Patron to Lord Mov, Azog 150, JaM, Lord William, Grouchy13
"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."
Did the most accurate representation of a Tory MP I've yet to see surpassed! Of all the Facebook posts about him nobody I know has yet referenced The New Statesman, in my opinion his best work.
'When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything. '
-Emile Cammaerts' book The Laughing Prophets (1937)
Under the patronage of Nihil. So there.
Damn, one of my childhood heroes.
I didn't get Bottom and the Young Ones until about 10 years later but something about their characters (him and Edmondson) was incredibly fascinating for 6-12 year old me.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
I was utterly stunned when I got home yesterday and Rik's death was all over Facebook. I grew up with him from the early days of 'Kevin Turvey' The Dangerous Brothers 'The Young One's, Bottom, The New Statsman, and of course Lord Flashheart....
