Ulmó was having a bad day and decided to stop being responsible for the water on Arda for a time. He told that to Manwë, who deciding that he could use a change of pace offered to switch places with him. Unfortunately, Manwë had no experience managing water and decided to use some of his experience with air to substitute, thinking that it couldn't be that different. This was the result.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

You don't need to make a new thread every time you have a question. There is a thread for questions like this already to reduce clutter on the main page. That sad it could just be a glitch. Try exiting the game completely and starting it back up.
It's not a question of where it grips it. It's a simple questions of weight ratios; a five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.
