Has anyone figured out yet how to give proper overhand grip and proper shields to hoplites?

I have two topics to ask about in this thread.Hoplites attacking animations and hoplite shields.

a)I'm aware of the mod that gives overhand grip to the hoplites and some formations to the Romans,but

1)from the footage I've seen they only have overhand while standing and they abandon it when melee starts
2)it's not compatible with unit skins mods
3)I don't want the lance phalangites that come with the mod and
4)steam doesn't let me download it anyway for some weird reason and there's no non-steam link.

So has anyone else found out how it's properly done? Is there maybe a tutorial? I've been trying for ages to make this happen but all I get is failure after failure.I'm not very experienced at modding,so please help.

b)How can I make the hoplon shields bigger and give them the Argive grip? Is it even possible? Could I do it maybe with 3ds max or something similar? I'm very dedicated to fixing the hoplite phalanx in Rome 2 as it's a major issue for me and everyone would benefit from this in the community,but I need help to make this happen.

I'm not very experienced at modding,so please help.Working method means instant rep.

in the tutorial suction there is a tutorial about importing your own models into the game, so it is possible to import a larger Hoplon shield into the game using BOB.

Our mod team has made a correct sized hoplon however it requires new custom made animations as the vanilla animations have the spear clipping badly with the shield among other problems.

That's great news Magnar!Have you included this in a mod yet?If yes link please,I want to check it out for sure. The overhand grip animation I guess will fix the spear clipping problem .

no we havent included it yet and probably wont for a very long time for a number of reasons i wont get into
