Haven't seen this. Is it possible to add this mechanic to legionaries, spears and swords. The fire at will mod is not as good, they carry their pila upside down

Sadly I don't think so. Cavalry already uses two weapons for shock units, so it works like they have one weapon for the chargé and sword in melee. If you add bow to the unit, it works not as a third, but as a second weapon. I was doing the same thing for units in ETW (lancers with sabers and pistols).

So cataphracts will use a spear both during charge and melee, and bow when not engaged in melee? Pretty sweet. Would be really awesome to see a fully armored, infantry mowing capable cataphract be able to swap role to horse archer depending on the fight. I could see myself taking 20 stacks of nothing but cataphract archers.
