Why? this makes playing all eastern factions ten times harder than European ones, why is it fair?
I always play battles manually, but getting Chivalrous generals in very difficult and unreliable without Crusades/Jihads, I couldn't declare Jihads because it requires a very high piety Imam which was very tough to get, even after winning the Jihad, I only gained a couple of Chivalrous points for 1 general which barely made a difference.Originally Posted by This is the whole point of my modding! 4. only Chivalrous (and with +growth) generals can make a difference <=
5. you need to gain Chivalry so you need to fight battles [I
because of very low public order, sacking or exterminating was almost always the go-to, which makes that even harder.
[QUOTE=This is the point of the SSHIP. Conquering is easy, but keeping control - difficult. Good![/QUOTE]
keeping control seems impossible, don't forget that the only reason I was able to control all of these settlements without losing money is by using the merchant exploit and getting most of my income from them, without the use merchants, expanding beyond the Levant would've been impossible, unless i'm missing something.
Controlling large chunks of land back in the day was difficult for political reasons, you didn't need a full elite army to prevent a city from rebelling just because it's a bit far, you also didn't lose nearly all tax money from corruption.
Mechanics like slow assimilation in SS that prevent you from expanding quickly seem more reasonable, random events that lower the public order temporarily of a certain settlement would also be manageable and more realistic.
