    1) Crusader Faction (white) and Zengid Faction (off-white) are very close in color on the game map. Can the color palette be adjusted again?

    2) The Rum Seljuk flag is the Ottoman signature of 1800: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tughra

    3) Rum Seljuks and Great Seljuks are descended from the same lineage. Family traits should be common. Seljuk Gazi's sons are forming different factions.     4) @kostic Will it change the textures of the Muslim Faction leaders on the map? They still have the basic Medieval 2 look and are outdated.

    @Berk : Thanks for those comments. For the badge of the Sultanate of Rum, indeed it should be reviewed. Maybe one day I will see the leaders of the Muslim factions on the campaign map again, but I am not very familiar with this area ... my skills are more in the area of ​​3D units and I have tons of changes to make! !!

    The latest beta version (SSHIP_098 of September 25) seems to be working fine, but it is currently only available to developers.

    Thanks to Kostic's guidance the problem was fixed by activating the map and bin cleaner.bat which I haven't done ever since playing the version 6.4. after doing so even the laps run faster and CTD's haven't happened for 25+ turns already. this means a new stable campaign which I will give an update on in the Empires Map thread.

    Tip to team: always include TXT and updated STRING.BIN in updates to avoid issues like above. Also keep in mind that Steam does not update battle, strat, shared and tooltips from TXT files alone, STRING.BIN has to be present, hence running the cleaner bat file will revert those files to vanilla default, eg the game will read the STRING.BIN files from there.

    Providing a zero byte map.rwm in an update will force generating of a new file.

    About the building time issue (no recruitment etc): the underlying issue is that you have the same building condition in both effect lines, one 'positive' and one 'negative' and thereby have the 'construction period' for that building invalidating both effects.
    Seeing that most capabilties are cumulative you could simply have a base number, let's say three for the initial condition and then add one more with the more advanced condition, ending up with 4 total:

    Good Giguantus: if I understood correctly and to summarize, players who own M2TW with STEAM cannot build .bin from .text. It is therefore necessary to provide for these a version with the .bin corrected from a non-STEAM version.


    One thing is less clear to me: can players with STEAM rebuild map.rwm ?

    As Gigantus has pointed, the problem concerns only four .bin files, the other are re-created in both Steam and non-steam version.
    In the SSHIP install file, those four .bin files are included.
    The cleaner file ("Map and Bin file cleaner.bat") that is supplied with the SSHIP install, deletes files that are re-creatable, including map.rmw, but do not touch upon those four.
    Ergo: unless you change something in those four files, there's no problem.

    Good to know - I had assumed all bin files were deleted by the cleaner. The cleaner however isn't required if you provide full, updated sets of txt\bin files in your patches. Same if you use zero byte map.rwm files.

    That's never going to work as 'if' only works with 'I_xyz' conditions. It's however not the reason for the crash, for that you require a trace log.

    @Henry V:
    First, thanks for drawing our attention to this issue - it's worth to fix it.
    Second, as @Gigantus said, this is not a source of the crash.
    Third, changes in the script.txt are not save-compatible, they'd not change anything in your current game.
    Fourth, maybe you'd be a "willing modder" and provide a movie for some other cities (.bik format) B-)
    I'll have a look at the autosave, but if you'd have a normal save, it'd be better (some people reported problems with autosave).

    So, after playing the Beta version as Byzantium for 195 turns, I have to say that - despite some sudden crashes when right clicking on obscure parts of the map to get info about who is the boss there as well as some crashes when clicking on enemy characters and cities for info - the game runs more or less without major issues. (Perhaps the Byz. military units are too strong though.) However, I have reached a point where I get the "Runtime error: R6025 pure virtual function call" which occured all of a sudden and I cannot get passed. It does not seem to be related to my computer.
    I attach my save and the related photo. The log does not point to anything, let alone a crash.

    @stefdim7: did you try the solutions posted a few posts above? From what I now this error is not related to the mod.

    @Berk: thanks for the reports, we'll indeed have to look into that.
    EDIT: I fixed the text displayed for nordic diplomats.

    @Henry X, @jurand and @gig: I actually fixed this FactionReligion condition a while back, but I haven't updated the 0.97 download. I'll have to do it!

I've seen that there are also others, who did not manage to fix it with one of those three different ways shown in the video and this is why I wonder if there is something in the mod causing it. There is also this indication about it relating with the kindoms.exe file... No idea!
