    As for scoutotai_spear_standard can you fix it? why can't I fix it by copying the old files?
    My knowledge of 3D modelling stuff is pretty basic, I really wouldn't know where the issue could be. Simply copying an old version that worked should fix the issue, for the time being I would however suggest to issue a EDU with that officer line commented out, or the model replaced with another one.

    I did have a look at the officer entries when checking the EDU entries just in case you used a missile unit (crash when engaging in melee). The model uses the nikossaiz_infantry_flag_lod0.mesh which is used for another two officers: symachika_standard, scoutatoi_sword_standard - you may wish to test units with those officers as well. Them being Scoutatoi Swordsmen and Castrophilakae, the symachika_standard is not used.

    going well for all scoutotai ,spear and swordmen and castrophilakae.

    Not going well, make crash when you use for example for castrophilakae or scoutotai
    I dont know why one yes and the other 2 going bad and make crash, furthemore I also overwrote when the old files of sship 2023 and it also gives an error...
    Can you also open a .mesh file and check it?
    I will try once more to fix it, if not I will leave it with the solution I have given so as not to hinder the next release of SSHIM any more, I hope you can help me because it is very annoying not to be able to solve it...

    I remember I had to change - some time ago - the symachika_standard officer to scoutatoi_sword_standard because it was crashing the game.
    The only thing to do is to replace the officer that crashes the game with another one, I think.

    Yes friend, that was the solution and the same for scoutatoi_spear_standard, but i dont know why in sship 2023 going well but now don't go... even copying the original files

    Do you know how to open and review .mesh files? I think that's where the problem lies.

    So to continue my campaign should I just switch the symachika_standard to scoutatoi_sword_standard? If so for which units do I do that. Excited some progress is being made.

    Just wondering if theres some easy fix to an earlier version I can switch the file too to keep playing right now. or simply edit it myself

    Not sure why you guys made your life difficult by mixing and matching entries like this bishop. From what you presented as download neither the cas nor the textures are present in any directory (default or agents) which means it will stay vanilla, regardless what you do.

    To fix this proceed as follows:
    1. Get hold of the CAS model and the texture files listed in descr_strat_models and place them in 'agents' and it's 'textures' sub directory respectively.
    2. Adjust the descr_model_strat entry to reflect the move into the agents directory
    @Gigantus I'm afraid I can't open CAS files properly with Notepad, can you? I get letters like hieroglyphics and icons, I don't get any text that I can understand, it seems like the program doesn't read it properly... Do you know of any software that can open it? Any for .mesh files too?

    It's right at the end, totally at the bottom. The glyphs are normal - the path is however in clear text. Easier to find if you enable wordwrap: click on 'format' in the menu and then enable 'wordwrap'. Text will now wrapped instead of stretching as long as the line is.
    The path and texture will be in the very last lines so jump straight to the end (Ctlr+End).

    @Gigantus!! I've finally been able to solve the problem of returning to the Roman bishops with their previous vanilla model! The problem was in the descr_character file, the Byzantines had the rus_priest by default when they should have the orthodox_priest (vanilla model), everything else was correct including the directories and path, Kostic also helped me solve this problem with strat map models.
    Now I have achieved what I wanted, that the Romans have their own unique bishop and the rest of the Orthodox have another one (so that the Roman Orthodox motherland is different).
    The problem with the standard scoutotai could not be solved, I had to change the banners, what I don't understand is that even copying the old files from 2023 still gives problems here...

    Sorry if this is a copy of the Venice CTD bug, but I found that if I, as England, conquer Scotland in Dublin while the Scots still had the army they get when the highlands rise up, I got a CTD when hitting the occupy/sack/exterminate button. I resolved it by defeating the highland army onto a transport ship before finishing the siege. The army didn't all get killed when they fled onto the ships, but I guess rebels don't mix with boat pirates? It didn't seem to generate any SS.System.log so sorry for not providing any more. I've had a mostly bug free experience so far so thanks to the modders

    Do they have a family member on that army? If so it could be the 'BecomesFactionLeader' bug.

    When turning rebel (desertion or faction defeat) units not supported by rebel ownership should get disbanded while the rest joins the rebels.

    Hello the SSHIP Mod is crashing when I try to load campaign replays. Custom battle replays still work.

    The log is this when crashing
    replay_desync
    REPLAY checker difference at tick 15480!

    I am on windows 11 24h2. The game crashes whenever I try to watch a campaign battle replay. The error is this:REPLAY checker difference at tick 15480!

    I tried to do that and the game still crashes with unspecified error when I launch the renderer to watch the replay.
