    Default Crowns?

Im sorry if this has been asked alot but,

Last time i played (like 2 years ago) i swear i could remember that there where faction crowns. So now ive downloaded SS 6.4 and im playing my Scottish campaign, and i dont have a single crown. I conquered France, Norway and England.

Is this taken out? Is it only in some sort of submod? Or am i doing something wrong?

Sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance!

There are still crowns but you have to have less than 8 ancillaries on your faction leader when the conditions for the crowns occur and his had to be in a city/castle. Don't think anything else is required than that.

Most of my family members and generals dont have 8 ancillaries and still i dont own a single crown, ive killed all english, french and norwegian family members, stayed in London, Paris and Edinburgh for a couple of turns. Im really starting to think that im missing a submod or doing something wrong

SS6.4 by deafault has only 1 crown per area (iberia, france, british isles, etc), shared by factions starting in it and is the only one they can have, for example Moors, Portugal, Leon and Aragon can only have the Spanish Crown, one and only one instance of that crown can exist at a given time and is earned when you control the entire area (or most of it) and your faction leader finishes the turn in a settlement.

However there is a submod called A tower of crowns that does allow you to collect crowns of all the map areas with any faction.

Also what you can do if your King has 8 ancillaries so you cant get the crown you have earned... pass off as many of his ancillaries as you need/want to some peon general.

And even if it looks like you have all the territories you need to get a crown for an area, there are specific areas you must have for each crown.
The english crown, for example, requires you to have every territory of the british isles.

Also, Im not sure if the game will allow you to have more then one crown (say youve conquered all of the english and french territories).
In this case, you can use the cheat code to get your crown (having less then 8 ancillaries is still neccesary).
The cheat code is--> /give_ancillary this crown_england <--do that while clicking on your king outside of a settlement.
Replace "england" with whichever crown you feel you are entitled to

And you can use 'remove_ancillary this" to get the number back under 8 if you need to.
