    http://youtu.be/wabSOnSIsXU

for some reason I cannot post, send P.M.`s but can edit posts I`ve already made so I cannot update unless I do on a previous post ( if this is something a Moderator did! they would be polite to let me know! I did leave the link to this on several moderators profiles but to react and do something like this is not very "adult!" but no worries I am probably conjecturing anyway! it is probably just a technical error which I hope gets fixed!) thank you~ ok this the BETa Download link:
    http://www.fileswap.com/dl/Kt84zBAyy/Rajaputa.rar.html
(copy and paste this into your browser)

Changes are, changed start and end to 1050-1200 (4 turns per year) factions are: The Mamlakat of Sind the Ghaznavids the Seljuk shahs the Omani Shafite the Rajputs of Pradesh the Rajastan Rajputs the Punjabi Rajputs the Guji Jurat rajputs this is very playable! for now most ui is done, new music, culture, religion, buildings etc. forget claims of historic accuracy for now, I think for a single modder it is a feat already as is! if people download this and like it in a few months I will release another version (much more polished) on a bigger map, with more factions and a greater focus on being absolutely! accurate historically~ instructions: download winrar package, unzip to desktop, then copy the "Rajaputa" folder to MedievalII/mods Optional: right click on the executable bat. (MedievalII/mods/Rajaputa) and choose create short cut, after rename the shortcut and place it on your desktop

    added the

the shiekdom of Karazem, (Islamic Northern Afghanistan/Turkistan)
the Kasmiri Pandits, (hindu Northern India)
the Amorkat Ranas, (Islamic central Pakistan)
this has been majorly updated: 9/20/14 the new version is totally stand "alone" so just follow the instructions for the initial release, only difference is the folder is now named "rajastani" screenshots of this version begin in post# 47

You may need to loose the border for the screenshots, I guess that's mural 67 from the Laksmana temple
The menu screen is a bit too dark, not enough contrast.
Somewhere there is a template for the battle banners...
    The units look fine
The checkered effect of the card background can be fixed by making the part of the interface 'seamless', check it for high enough contrast to the text.

Solid work as always, Druvatar! I suggest following Gigantus' advice on the UI though, that would make the graphics quite neat.

    +Rep, absolutely. Keep it up!

yes! and I was able to use some of those "beautiful" princesses you uploaded for me too! (thank you Stevie)
one small step for modders, one giant step for the "Kamasutra" mod! someone said that the sculptures are in apropriate for the loading screens, cause they were ancient and not Rajput I thought: how myopic those sculptures represent the "living" history of India which gave rise to the Rajputs but I could be wrong cause I thought the Rajputs were indigenous defenders of India and not a Conquering force like the Mughals, mongols and Brits~ please someone let me know were their originally from?

This looks like it could turn out really well, I would just suggest to polish the ui's a bit more but otherwise good job!

Nice! A neglected region and era but some very interesting battles were fought and cultural impacts wrought. What regions will the map cover?

it is a small map only about 85 settlements but it covers most of Northern India and modern day Afghanistan and Pakistan basically from Zahedan (easternmost region in Iran) to Bhopal (central city in India) east to west,
and south to north goes from Merv (northern most part of Afghanistan) and Srinigar (northern most region in India) to Bombay (modern known as Mumbai, central city in India)
I am thinking since i`ve gotten so far with developing the new culture, religion and accents for the Hindu, it wouldn`t be too much trouble to slightly enlarge the map deeper into India
and add two more Hindu factions and also may be one more Islamic "the Shiekdom of Kwarazem" opinions please, it would just put the release date back a couple of weeks, which I`m already aiming for the 4 of July~

It is a very nice addition my friend. But if you are aiming at historical accuracy, then there is a lapse of it. There is a Sikh Khanda used as a Rajput faction symbol. The religion of Sikhism emerged around the 15th Century. If you like to add a lot of good Indian factions around the 800-1100 AD, then I advice the following:

    1. The Gurjara-Pratihara or the Pratihara Empire. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurjara-Pratihara
    2. The Pala Empire, {Buddhist Imperial Power} - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pala_Empire
    3. The Rashtrakuta Dynasty - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rashtrakuta_dynasty
    4. The Chola Dynasty - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chola_dynasty
    5. The Kabul Shahi - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabul_Shahi
    6. The Ghaznavid Dynasty {Persian Muslims} - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghaznavid_Empire

During the period of 800-1200 AD, there were barely any Indian Muslims, let alone an Indian Islamic Empire. In the 1200's the formation of the Delhi Sultanate marked the first Islamic Empire established in India. During this phase, conversions of Northern Indians began. This Sultanate didn't last long.

Then in the 1500's a Central Asian Tribe with a lot of mixed origins, Persian, Turkish, Mongolian, Arabic invaded India and subdued the Rajputs. They were known as the Mughals, and they are responsible for the creation of India's iconic Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Initial Emperors of the Mughal Sultanate were passionate and religiously tolerant. They weren't like the Muslim invaders before who's only concern was sacking or looting. They treated India as their own country, they mingled with the local populace and took in some of their traditions. They realized the problem of recruiting an army in India was due to a vast difference in dialects across the nation, they made the language from a combination of languages, "Urdu" which means military. A language used in battle to issue commands understood by all. Many words in Urdu are exactly the same as Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Sanskrit. Urdu was further "Sankritized" to create Hindi, a language spoken and understood like Urdu among all people of the subcontinent, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India (itself) and even sometimes Sri Lanka.

The early Mughals and their tolerance is what allowed India to prosper in unity and harmony. The later kings (around the 5th to 6th generation in) were religious extremists and they carried out mass forced conversions, leaving India in a state of discord and rioting. This is when the Maratha Confederacy rose up in the 18th Century to overthrow the Mughal Sultanate in India by defeating the tyrant Aurangazeb (this is the starting scenario in Empire Total War).

Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims would never share the same harmony during the early Mughal Sultanate era. The British East India Trading Company capitalized on this communal hatred, and augmented it to uncontrollable levels. This is the reason why Pakistan and Bangladesh exist today. The British used the differences to spark in-fighting to aid in conquering India. Once they actually ruled over India, they realized that they were not equipped to control the riots they had given birth to. And so they separated the Hindus from the Muslims, and during the time of independence each religion wanted a nation of their own. India and Pakistan emerged (Bangladesh emerged as East Pakistan but later won their freedom with the assistance of India). This is why India and Pakistan have a go at each other from time to time, and Bangladesh is rather friendly towards India. Indians and Bangladeshis have more in common, including language, food, physical appearance and culture. The only difference being religion. Indians and Pakistanis have their similarities too but also have an equal abundance of differences. Sadly, the government of both nations tends to focus more on the differences rather than the similarities that ushered the golden era in Indian history.
