So today I was playing as the Khwarezmian Empire and I decided I had to invade the Seljuk Sultanate after I had to choose between them and the Fatimid Caliphate and the Seljuks were a victory requirement and also owned most of the land to the south of me since I was slow with grabbing rebel territory (this is early campaign with Meneth sub mod compiltation by the way). So my plan was to attack them from the south and also sail across the Caspian Sea and invade them take the fight to them in Anatolia and Armenia. I took one of their settlements (Baku) and after recuperating from the siege I moved onto the next settlement. Anyways I assaulted the settlement right away since I brought a trebuchet and the garrison only consisted of a general and a a garrison of only about 6 lower end units and a small supporting army outside the settlement. Stupidly I forgot to check what the supporting army consisted of since I figured it was just units but then on the battlefield I was assaulted by EIGHT general units. And two javelinmen. I took heavy losses but I did manage to win in the end but my cavalry was pretty beaten up. Anyways has anyone else had an event like this where the ai just stacked generals into one army. And sorry if I rambled a bit.
