Default Question for Dresden re: confederations

I'm aiming this at anyone with modding knowledge, really, who may be able to provide an answer. My knowledge/ability of modding is a bit basic, but I've recently been messing around with the confederation options.

    Two basic questions:
    1. Is it possible, from what we know, to allow factions to confederate beyond their subcultures? At the cultural level? Or rather, would there be some way to allow confederations for all factions with no restrictions? Perhaps by creating the way cultures are grouped in general?
    2. Is there anyway to allow the diplomatic option for confederation to appear for clients/satraps?

My reason for asking is pretty simple. I'd like to find some way to incorporate clients and satraps into the player's faction without having to go to war. Right now, even if I found a way to do #1, #2 would still pose a problem as you would need to break client/satrap treaties in order for confederation to be possible (which makes no sense, CA).

I've always wanted to be able to do this as well. Hopefully it becomes possible.

Is any of this possible at all?

I believe it was possible in the stand-alone dresden mod on diplomatic options, the one who made "sack" possible.

I remember then, I could confederate with anyone who shared my culture, and I could satrap all who had my "blood". Or something like that, never tried to understand the concept, I just loved to have all those diplo options available.

It seems that between the stand-alone and the dei version, some things were limited? Dresden could tell much more than me.

The game divides factions up into one of four cultures, and then another subculture beyond that.

Forming confederations between subcultures is actually very easy to implement, and that's what the current DeI and Dresden's mod did/do. It's a matter of checking a few boxes and all Greeks can confederate and such. I could also pretty easily change a faction's subculture so they can confederate with more factions.

It's also very easy to set it so that only certain factions in a subculture can confederate, such as smaller Greek city states and such.

But I was aiming for something broader and was wondering if anyone else had explored it. I wanted all factions to be able to confederate, or to do it on the 'culture' level (Barbarian, Roman, Easter, and Hellenistic) if that wasn't possible.

I've always wanted to be able to do this as well. Hopefully it becomes possible.
I tried everything I could think of, and it does not appear possible unless CA expands the feature. I even assigned created a new subculture to try and assigned two to the same factions to see if the game would allow it. Good news? Game didn't crash. Bad news? It only read the first subculture, ignored the second.

So, this would only be possible at the present time if CA acts, or someone discovers something I've completely missed.

It's frustrating because little things like adding a table would probably be incredibly easy for CA to do, but I'm far more limited.

I know of no way to change the basic way confederating works, sadly. It is subculture based.
