Unfortunatley, from what ive seen that would be impossible, as CA does not give us access to the current soundtrack of Rome 2.

I am looking at this issue since yesterday and I think I'm on the right track and can explain a little what to do.

    - In first you have to download the last version of "Pack File Manager" (3.5.1 today) here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/packfilemanager/
    - Update the version if necessary.
    - If you can't open a .pack file, you have to move your file in an another directory.
    - When it's open, you notice that all the files are .wem. This is an audio file created with Audiokinetic.

I stopped there, but the idea is to convert .wem file in .ogg and convert .ogg in .mp3 to play the file.
It remains only to take your music and replace

I would say if I succeed

Okay finally it's too hard to do it like this.
My game is not on steam so I can't download the mod with Steam Workshop. But I found a link that works here : http://www.moddb.com/mods/rome-total...otal-war-music

    - Download and copy it to the data folder (with the .png file)
Most people directly launch the game (like me) but it will not work beacause we need to activate it.

The solution is here, you have to download "Mod Manager 2.0" here : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...dated-25-04-14
    - Launch it and show where is your executable. (If there is an error, run "Mod Manager" with Administrator mod)
    - You should see "music_rtw.pack" in your list. You have just to activate it and start the game.

    ENJOY !

Updated Steam version to work with the new P17 audio file system. Will update the non-Steam version when I remember my mediafire password.

Looking for non-steam version as well. Trying to play DEI with steam is impossible so I've had to go in full offline mode. In this mode, steam will not recognize any subscriptions after successive launches ... long story short, it's not worth the headache to keep trying to make it work. It's like vanilla rome 2 in that regard.

Make sure when using this you go into the file and delete the first three letters of the text, this should enable it. (Why I don't know, it worked for me)

Could you also do the opposite; I mean adding the soundtrack from Rome II to Rome 1? It's because I don't like Rome 2 but I do like it's soundtrack

It would be spectacular if the non-steam file is updated, as I cannot make the steam file work whatsoever.
