Default Removing trousers from an armour model

The new patch cam with a new chainmail variant that I want to add to some other factions units, however the model seems to come with trousers&tunics as part of the model. So if i add it to another unit you get the 2 sets of clothes clipping through each other, I could just remove the entries for clothes in the variant mesh files but then I would most of europe wearing dacian pattern clothing. Is it possible to edit the model so that I can remove the visible parts of the trousers and tops?

Actually never mind I found models that don't come with any clothing attached.

If you ever have a similar problem just remember that you can extract the diffuse and erase the trousers with gimp. That will make them invisible.
