Settlement Build Guide.

Is anyone aware of a simple guide to optimum settlement builds for Shogun 2?

I'm looking for something very basic, like:

Basic Economic Settlement = Castle, Market, Saki Den etc.

And perhaps a simple guide as to which province specialties lend themselves to which type of settlement development e.g. Philosophical Tradition for Metsuke's etc. I've been rummaging around for a couple of days trying to find one and I found several economic guides but nothing that just listed basic builds.

Can't say that I know of one, but it shouldn't be too hard to put one of your own together. There's only so many buildings and specialties to begin with.

Generally, build appropriate military buildings in regions that grant compatible military buffs:
Blacksmith: melee dojos
Crafts: ranged dojos
Warhorses: cavalry dojo
Lumber: navy
Ninja: sake den
Intellecutal: market
Build sake dens and markets in non-military provinces to maximize income.

It really comes down to what you want and what you feel comfortable with.

I decided to turn my capital into the primary troop production centre (it helped that it had a smithy) and everything outside as purely tax shelters, with a few exceptions such as specialized naval centres and heavily garrisoned gold provinces.
