What Internet browser did you use for downloading the Installers?

What Windows do you have?

Any recent Windows Update? Can you test any other .exe file if you have some other mods downloaded?

i have windows vista i have downloaded my mods for mount and blade but most were zip folders and when both files were in winzip i only extracted them to a folder where both are together i clicked on file 1 and i used internet explorer to "check for solution and/or program to read files"

Weird, it's supposed to look like this, as it's an installer (OBS! as the TATW_-files in the top of the folder seen here, don't mind the instructions under, the picture is from another thread). Test to re-download?

Internet Explorer is having problems with downloading .exe files, it sees them as unrecognisable type of files. If I were you, I would try this fix from here to get back your .exe file association: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950505

First, make a backup of your System Registry, and after that, use either Fix it for me method, or, Fix it myself method.

My other suggestion would be either: try to rename Third Age Installers to end with .exe file extension. For example:
TATW_Part_1.exe

Or, use Firefox Mozzila browser to download any future .exe file.

ok things are going better i have both files and they look like what i have seen on youtube but when i click on these they say it has invalid data

Unfortunately, Invalid data message means you will need to re- download the exe file which gives you this message..

Do not use the Internet Explorer to re download the file. Firefox is better. Also, while downloading, don't surf the Internet or watch Youtube, and, do not play games or do some multitasking on your PC. Just let it download in peace.
