Divide and Conquer black screen problem

I have this annoying bug that isn't really a specific problem for this mod, but all medieval II mods till now, but it's even worse now with this sub mod and I though perhaps there's a sollution.

My problem is that sometimes during a campaign I get a blackscreen and from that point on there is nothing I can do then shut down my computer by turning the powerswitch off. Nothing works, alt-ctrl-del, waiting (well at least more then 2 hours waiting didn't do anything). It's pretty annoying, especially when I haven't saved.

Like I said it isn't specific to this submod, it only seems worse now that I'm taking back Moria with the dwarves. I do know that some 'tricks' work, or better said, how to avoid it a little bit.

Things I discovered is that it mostly happens when I'm going over the map and thinking about where to go next or what to do. In other words, if I wait to long and don't do anything. So now I find myself planning ahead and giving orders really quickly to hit end turn as soon as possible xD

Also it mostly seems an early game problem and after 20 or 30 turns of playing it disappears or isn't very likely to happen anymore. Don't know if others know the problem I'm describing, but I also have it with Dlv and vanilla Tatw, it just seems that now with my Moria campaign it's a lot worse, perhaps because of the script or the fact that I don't have any region.

If only someone has a fix to get out of the game without turning the powerswitch off it would allready be a lot better, but if the problem could be fixed completely that would be even better Hope somebody with the same problem has find a sollution.

Do you have an older computer? I've had lots of problems when I did, maybe that's the problem

Or even with a newer computer if you have a lot of useless programs running in the background it will drain your computers memory. I'd recommend shutting down all unneeded programs running in the background.

Is it a laptop or desktop PC? Measured your PCs temperatures lately? Post your dxdiag.
