Default Discrepancies in unit info and actual units

I am 99,99% that all the info released in the 1.2 EB was historically accurate ( unit description related ).
What I wonder is why some units aren't the same in-game as they are described to be.
    Some examples:
The Tarabostes cavalry is supposed to have "sica" swords which should be armor piercing.
The Syracusan Holpites are described as having short swords as secondary weapons, yet they don't. (off-topic, they are pretty underpowered compared to similar price Greek heavy Phalanx which has ap swords and more soldiers) .
The Dacian Cavalry Archers (pretty underpowered - price related unit) or the Mezenai - don't remember right are supposed to have another weapon than they have.
Just to top it all, Tindanotae have two lives. *joke*

As it feels, it is. this topic was made in a hurry.

Most hoplites have no secondary weapon, because it's bugged in the RTW (and incidentally M2TW) engine. They always use the secondary to charge then try to switch to primary and it all goes pear-shaped. So the team took the decision to remove the secondary weapon from non-pike phalanx units.

Nope, sicas aren't AP in EB. Getic phalanxes (both types) and Komatai also have them, and they're not AP. You might e confusing them with the larger falxes that Thraikioi Peltastai carry (probably a rather artificial distinction, but needed for gameplay purposes). BTW I think that Thraikioi Peltastai's swords shouldn't be AP, but that's another matter.

This applies to some other units as well. I think they made some later changes to units which aren't reflected in the unit decription.
About the prices, they're not oriented on balance, but are supposed to reflect demographic and cultural factors that make it more or less viable to raise certain units. Thus, Dacian and Armenian HAs are simply more expensive than nomadic HAs of the same quality. Anyway, all in all Getai units seem to be OP if anything (has to do with them being "barbarian" like the Swęboz - hence the high skill and lethality levels - as well as believing themselves to be immortal - hence the extremely high morale levels).

    Yeah, that's another OP thing.
