    Default Changing shield type for existing unit - short way?

    Heya,

    how to change shield for existing unit? For example - to give german unit round shield instead of hexagon shield? Is it possible to do without messing with variantmeshes? Tried to change in unit land stats, but nothing changed visualy

    no u need to edit or create a new vmd

    For visuals, you must edit variantmeshdefinition of units sooner or later. The one you changed is probably shield value in land_units tables which is only affect shield armour value for that unit, no visual.

    You can give them different stats without using variant meshes but to change appearance you need to do variant meshes. It's not hard, its just a copy paste job.
