Default Where can I see my current difficulty settings

I have started to play SS 6.4 as Portugal Early Campaign (balanced AI) and so far the game has been a breeze. I get money in the thousands each turn, enemy armies break and run, after one or two charges with my 4 royal cavalry units (which of course replenish themselves between battles) and I took Lisbon, Sevilla, Silva and Cordoba without much effort. The year is 1122 and I have over 40000 florins accumulated. I started the game on VH/VH, but since I don't break much of a sweat until now I was asking myself if for some reason the difficulty level changed.

So is there a possibility to see the difficulty level, for when I start a new campaign it is set on M/M and that makes me suspicious.

Use the BGR option if you want a challenge.

If you want to check Campaign Difficulty, you can try changing your capital city. If difficulty is medium, it will cost 2000 florins; if the difficulty is hard/VH, it will cost 5000 florins.
