Default Can't find enemies on battle map due to low vision radius? heres the "fix"

for those of you that hate the low sight radius on the battle map, and not being able to see the enemy until point blank.
or simply that sometimes the battle can't even take place because you cant find the enemy period?

here's a few quick steps to fix this, for those who doesn't know yet.

(back up the pack file before editing)
open the DeI part1.pack with pack file manager, go to db -> battle_climate_weather_description_tables -> DEI_battle_climate_weather_descriptions and change the spotting_scalar column to all values of 50

and tada... my units finally got their Lasik

Never had problems with spotting units, even finding them in wods. That is why there is light cav.

In other words, meerkatology, "scouting." SMH. You sure seem to have a lot of gripes with DeI...

And just a general rule with pics, throw some spoiler tags around them.

i've had problems where the AI attacks me but never comes to me on the battle map, i scout entire map, covering every place and simply can't find the enemy :\

i for one really hated the extremly low vision radius, so wanted to share for those who share my hatred^^
and one can certainly adjust the radius to whatever they like, doesn't need to be the entire map. I just felt the current radius is a bit too unrealistic, units literally have to go in pila throw range before they can see eachother.

    to each their own.

Not to mention that on the open map like in the pic I was always able to see at least 3/4 of enemy army from the start too.

It was made to emphazie the role of skirmisher units and other light ones, this is realistic as this mod intends.

I always use DeI from mediafire, steam one is bugged from what people write here, for example missing textures.

Simply in my gameplayes I never had to search for the enemy, sure, there were situtations when I could see only 1/3 of the army, but that was due to forests and bushes.

Meerk, from what I've read in your posts you seem to have some strange variance in your gameplay experience with DeI... so... I hope you're install is valid xD

And Kam, one of my Thracian Generals is missing a body texture. invis body on campaign map D:

Thanks for sharing the tip! Surely some will find it useful.

It can be seen as a cheat or a uncompatible way to play DeI but this is why there is sub-mods no need to argue guys!
