Default How to edit trait triggers, trait effects and chance to find a wife?

Hi! I'm bored with my Roman generals always going mad or race-obsessive, so is there a way to reduce the occurence of those traits. Or to at aleast make them less bad regarding their effects?
I do have the TTT mod already, but I couldn't find a description how he did his changes.

Also, I'd love to see my generals getting married over time. Is it possible to add a 5-10% chance per turn that they find a wife randomly?

Sorry to necro this one, but it's the most relevant post I found via search and was wondering essentially the same thing. I'm trying to reduce the amount my roman generals are inbred or crazy, but the "precedence" value in character_traits doesn't seem to be doing any good. I've tried setting values for all bad traits to be anywhere from -1 to 90, start a new game and assassinate a bunch of my characters in order to get a few random generals generated, but haven't been able to see any noticeable difference in trait occurance. (I did start to get sanguine/phlegmnatic a lot, I'm guessing one of the triggers for that is assassinations? ) Is it a different table I should be looking at for this? Should I be entering a wider range of values? I assumed it was a 0-100 scale but -1 didn't get me any CTDs...
