    Default some questions

    Hello,

So after years of RTRPE I finally got into EB...
This mod is amazing and the experience while playing make me wonder why I did not give it a chance earlier.
    Now some questions:
    1. Where can I find some info's about the connection between each faction and wonders?
    2. The wonders have effect on the whole kingdom or just the settlement in which it's located? As AS is worth risking First Royal Army in order to take Rhodes (I supposed that the Colossus will bring a boost to trade in whole kingdom)?
    3. Why not 2 cities in Cyprus and Crete?

    Tks

Because there's a limited number of cities available on the map, 2 more cities on Cyprus and Crete means 2 less cities in the map outlying

    1. Each wonder has a large info card (like any other building or unit in this game) when you right-click its icon. Go to the city of the province where the wonder lies and you should find that icon.
    2. Wonders have the effect on only the single province, not the empire whole as they did in Vanilla. They are not super buildings, their bonuses are minor but are still worth it if you know how to use those bonuses properly. You can also demolish them and get the cash in return but that sort of thing is frowned upon on this forum. Consider them as important landmarks, landmarks that should appear on the battle map if you fight on the adjacent square. Sadly, I haven't convinced an AI army to fight near one yet.

A note about demolishing wonders: I've only destroyed one so far, the Collosus of Rhodes, and not for the money. It was my Makedonian campaign and I've just taken Rhodes. Since the Collosus was historically built to celebrate the Rhodians thwarting the Makedonian invasion, I believed a Makedonian victory would be a good reason to take the statue down.

Some wonders are indestructible, for example natural landmarks (like Akroterion Hieron or Bab el Mandeb). Many wonders provide different bonuses to different factions. For example, the Aedui profit more from the "wonders" in Gaul (Carnac, the Gallic Council, and the war booty in Tolosa) than the Romani do. Some wonders provide no bonuses at all to some factions (again, Carnac). This is often the case if a wonder is of special importance to some cultures, while it means little to others. Another example would be the tomb of Alexander. Other wonders are awesome regardless of faction. Of course you can play your campaign any way you want, but generally it is better in the long run if you don't destroy wonders, as they can help greatly with local public order issues - especially the ones that come with a law bonus such as the Athenian acropolis, or the ones that allow for competitions like the Pythian or Olympian Games in their respective provinces.
Generally speaking, if a wonder is a landmark, a trade route (the Silk Road, the Amber Road, and the Persian Royal Road), or a public building like a large temple, any faction will benefit from it. If it's a tomb/necropolis, a terrain based holy site, or a monument to a specific historical event, it may be beneficial only to some factions, or even only to one.
Many wonders provide morale bonuses. Unfortunately (and unbeknownst to the team at the time EB was created), morale bonuses provided by buildings have been found to be bugged and don't work.

Yes, unfortunately the limit is 199 provinces. Otherwise we'd be seeing a lot more of them in Greece and Italy, but also in other places like India. EB II (and many other mods) faces the same problem.
