    Icon5 More questions on generals

Hi Guys, I found your responses so useful I'm here with some more queries

    - How do you get more generals? (I find I don't have enough for a governor for each settlement plus several left over for field campaigns)

    - Do command stars increase unit morale the more stars you get?

    - What decides which settlement a new general appears in?

    - How do you find out which settlement your new general has gone to? The interface doesn't tell you or show you

    Thanks!

You can get more generals either by having sons in your royal family, having daughters then marrying them to generals when you get the option, geting a "man of the hour" event after winning a big battle with a captain, by using your diplomat to convert an enemy general to your side, or by simply recruiting a new general from one of your castles (that may take 7 turns and I forget which building upgrades you need for the option, but you can recruit unlimited generals that way.

A new general will appear in the city you recruited him from. If you bribed a foreign general to your cause, he will appear right where you bribed him from. New sons will appear in the same city their father is in, if their father isnt in a city, the new son will usually appear at your capital (same for daughters).

If for some reason you still cant find your new general, the new happenings in your empire will all apear on the left of your screen at the strat of every turn. It will tell you what new sons/daughters have arrived (click on the hourglass next to their name to have it take you right to them on the map). If all else fails, go to your empire details button (usually lower right side) and look under your forces tab and youll see all of the military forces you have. Just click through until you find your new guy.

If I am not mistaken, command stars only have a small effect on the outcome of autoresolved battles.
