I think these pictures demonstrate with the most emphatic manner , the Roman splendour and grandiose of Constantinople.

From these pictures we can safely conclude that the remarks made for the city that outclassed Rome itself and for being the greatest city of all were not exaggerations.....

If buildings were still intact Ottomans would most likely continue use them and repair them.

Hmm don't think so my friend.
They were conquerors and I don't think they have shown the same habit with the other Byzantine cities they have conquered.
Their aesthetics and priorities were different and we can assume that at their time they were considering the heavily damaged Constantinople something that it needed rebirth/renovation in order to pose as a Muslim capital.
They did managed to save some buildings though, mostly churches, as it was their habit also to transform them into mosques and believe me that was one hell of a blow for the Byzantine art (the amount of decorative art which was lost is immense imho, and some public buildings as well.

Most of Constantinople was in a poor state in 1453 when the Ottomans became its masters, since I'm quite sure they would have probably utilized similar buildings for similar functions if they found them in good condition. I think it would have been a different story if the Ottomans were around in 1204 and conquered the City instead of the barbarian Franks.

Both conquerors have heavily plundered the city Stav.

I don't think anyone doubts that, neo, but the city was in much better condition when the Crusaders sacked it in 1204 than when the Ottomans conquered it in 1453. There was naturally much plundering, but city itself was just a shell in 1453, and almost all of the buildings pictured were either gone or in a horrid state of disrepair. At that point it was better to tear down rather than restore. I mean, even the Church of Holy Apostles was in a poor state, and it was one of the most important churches in the city.
