Windowed Mode?

Hello TW lovers.
So, with vanilla M2/Kingdoms you can play the game in windowed mode by adding "windowed = 1'' at the end of the config file under the video settings. This also works with Stainless Steel and The Last Kingdom, mode which I've been playing for a while now.
This does not work with BC, as it seems to have its own config file in the mode folder. I have tried adding it there, but it causes a fatal error on starting the game.
Soooo, any way to play BC in windowed mode? I love the game but my PC, despite not being too old or anything, pretty decent graphics card etc, lags badly on fullscreen and now I'm used to playing all my games windowed anyway. it's also good to have access to other programs while playing TW and waiting for AI to take turns.

If anyone can offer a solution I would be extremely grateful.

Nevermind. This can be deleted, my big, fat, stupid mistake.

There's actually an option in the BC config file for windowed mode already, I just missed it and was trying to add another line.
2 identical lines = obviously an error.
