Unable to launch early era campaign. Please help!

When I try to start a new early era campaign nothing happens. When I select a faction and then click on 'start' it seems to 'go back' to the previous menu ( early era campaign, historical battle etc).

I remember this sometimes happened in the base game when something was altered in the dscr strat but I haven't touched that since installing SS.

Any help would be much appreciated. Maybe somthing in the setup?

You did pick early era in the ss setup right? If you did try doing it again. Sometimes it messes up.

Find SS Set Up, in MTW2/Mods/6.3, select, right click and Run as Admin

None of the above has worked. Anything else I can try or am I looking at a re-install? It was working fine and then I accessed the setup but changed nothing. From then on I cannot launch a campaign.

i have found that sometimes restarting windows works for debugging the SS_setup.exe, i've had in the past some weird/improper installation of submods and only a restart would make the SMM work fine again. This is just in case you usualy use sleep/hibernation function instead of shutdown your PC/laptop.
