After being implemented, in fact, in several neighborhoods of European cities,London,Paris etc. came prominently to the United States. The most visible face is the Hotel in Beverly Hills, but it is already applied in several American cities. Its Obama fault? It is normal for a democratic country to adopt religious laws?

Hotels do not legislate so how can the Beverley Hills hotel impose Sharia law? The boycott is due to a Sultan imposing Sharia law in Brunei. Any five -year -old can tell you that Brunei is not part of the United States.

This thread is so dumb I don't even know where to begin.
For starters, it doesn't have a news article source to discuss, so right off the bat it doesn't belong in the Mudpit sub-forum.
Secondly, the Hollywood boycott of that hotel is about sharia law being adopted in the country of Brunei (whose sultan owns the hotel), not the United States.
Thirdly, Dearborn, Michigan has had a sizable Muslim American community for a long time now, and for a long time they've had to put up with people slandering them and proclaiming that they follow sharia law in secret. This is hardly new.
As for the Fox News claim about Harold Hongju Koh, a Korean American lawyer who was until last year a legal adviser to the US Department of State, it is completely false. Since it is a televised Fox News "report" this is hardly surprising, since they hardly ever bother doing their homework on the issues they use to fill their 24-hour news coverage. It's even funnier considering how Koh is a major proponent of the Obama administration using drone strikes against Al-Qaeda in Pakistan. This is just juvenile misleading political partisanship from Fox News as usual, so again, nothing new.
