Multiple enemy armies enter the battle while my extra armies don't?

So I am new to the mod and loving it so far (even if I can't get my first choice of Sylvania to progress anywhere) however... playing as Nurgle and taking over the Wastes (via lots of automatic auto resolve wins because I didn't want to deal with Chaos I just wanted to beat up the Empire, because Greatfather Nurgle demands it.) I move on to Kislev and the Empire proper. I nick the Kislev capital with minimal effort, and leave my full stack of nurglings as the garrison.

Moving on, I end up facing a stack of two different principalities, (I forget the names) and so I go into the battle a little worried. They outnumber me by about 600 but I have a full stack of Nurgle Chosen and Chaos Warriors and Chaos Chosen Horsemen. My other army is comprised of 15 Desolators/Marauders, three dismounted generals, and two axe throwers. Because filler.

I get in, see its a bridge, and immediately get very happy. If I hold out until my stack of Heavy get here, it shouldn't be too bad. However, I see both the enemy stacks waltz in and rush the bridge. But my reinforcements do not move.

Not sure if I get what you're trying to say but you have to order your allies to attack the enemy otherwise they'll just sit around and defend their position. You can do so by clicking the double sword icon on the reinforcements icon on the upper side of your screen.

Sorry, I wrote that sleep deprived.

My reinforcements never entered past the red line, however the AI's reinforcements entered right away.

If you have a full stack and your reinforcements have not a general , they will stay behind the red line unless you check the box reinforcement controlled by AI on pre-battle screen
