Dedicated Versus?

So hey, it's been a while. If any of you crazies remember me, the long story short is college. That, and my computer had a nasty virus which was slowing down my game to a disgusting level so I couldn't continue my LP. Anyway, I'm back on here wondering if anybody is interested in setting up a dedicated thread for scheduling and planning online battles. I had a hella fun time doing it with some people here, but since the update and my hiatus, can't find anyone when I do a search. kind of a lukewarm return, but I have Stalfos to kill.

This thread will do for now, I guess, so long as someone wants to be an interim curator.

What we also need is some formalised means of describing a scheduled battle; the time, unit or faction preferences / restrictions, min and max player count, version, the presence of any potential balance mods... I could draft a form to use, but I'd need people to shout out any additional or superfluous categories to look into.

Speaking of versus, I'm looking to work on my Lizalfos tactics and would like to find a sparring partner. I'm on Steam as Victor A Yorke (who'd have thought), and will be available to play a game from 17.00 GMT today. Current version. No artillery please, at least to start. Any takers?

You can't do online battles anymore. Gamespy closed M2TW online battle servers down 2 years ago.

That's odd; I've had a peek in the lobby just now. It could be that steam uses its own servers, of course. (and yet it still requires a valid gamespy id to access)

We can do online battling, only an IGN account and Himachi are used now. The last time we battled was December 2013.

If you have yourself a Hamachi account, try Network -> Join an existing network, then type "Hyrule Versus". If it demands a password (it shouldn't), try "24601"
