Please Help! Shogun 2 keeps crashing my computer!

Hello people, I've recently got a new computer and I wanted to play Shogun 2 again so I tried it on my new computer and I'm encountering regular crashes that restarts my computer.

It crashes during Single-player campaign map and sometimes during load screens into Battles. But it sometimes loads through and lets me play for about 5 minutes in battle then it crashes.
During the crash, the computer screen goes completely red, and the last bits of the audio captured before the crash repeats until the computer restarts itself.

I play other demanding games such as Dark Souls 2, Counter-strike Global Offensive to name a few just fine.


I have tried out a few fixes that people have found success in but not for me.

*re-installing vcredist
*Deleting Pref script
*Deleting Steam client registry blob
*Verifying integrity of game cache

Frequent crashes still exists.

I have attached my Dxdiag report in the attachment.


Please help me play the game I love again!

Well, I'd say you need at least another 8gb of free space on C: drive for this game a swapfile.

Freed up to 24gigs of freespace, still crashing...

any other suggestions?

What is the brand and model of your computer?

Have you tried lowering your graphics settings?
