Try running TATW.bat file as an Administrator. If that doesn`t help, then I would advise to uninstall M2TW+Kingdoms+TATW, and, install M2TW+Kingdoms+TATW anywhere else just NOT in Program Files or Program Files(x86).

I changed my medieval2.exe to kingdoms.exe and it fixed the problem..
edit: oh this is third age.. probably the same fix for you too
