Why do most total war casters have really annoying voice?

This might be off topic but I am just curious. Why isn't there a single Youtube caster who has a good clean voice and casts professionally? It would be nice to have a competent caster who has good understanding of strategy.

Do you honestly expect every caster to have a good voice? This isn't some fancy world you live in, people have different sounding voices and you should accept it. Also this thread should be closed, since you're only asking for a argument.

Lack of professional equipment, or training, not everybody has a good voice.

Who are you talking about, OP? The main Total War youtubers I know are: Surrealbeliefs, PoM, Lionheartx10, Heir of Carthage and Diplex.

Surreal I was a fan of for ages, haven't watched much of his stuff since last september (dammit CA) but yeah.

PoM, as well I haven't watched much of since last sep, but his RTW vids were tha bomb, despite his personal "quirks" I suppose. Some people feel more strongly about those than I do but what can you do.

Lion's alright but not a great player IMO, didn't watch many of his vids tbh.

Heir's voice is annoying, also seems like a nice guy but again, didn't watch many of his vids.

Diplex's vids I haven't watched many of (surprise surprise) as I found his commentary lacking. Or his gameplay lacking. Or him annoying. Can't remember which.

Funnily enough though, I'd watch LPers that play other games. Total War all the time gets boring.

I don't expect every caster to be good. A single good one would be nice. If you ever took a look at Starcraft casters, they're hundred times better than the few total war casters we have. I am not asking for an argument, I am asking for an opinion unless your intention is to turn this into an argument.

Well simple, Starcraft is far more popular than the Total war series. So they have more money for better equipment and have to become better speakers. Also the total war casters have other things to do and can't focus mainly on casting.

Well I've watched everyone you mentioned except Surreal. I've watched several others on Youtube in hopes of finding one I like as well. So far no success To make this post more relevant, let me put this in. I looked for RS2 multiplayer videos on Youtube in hopes of learning from others and improving my battle tactics, but I just couldn't stand the ones I watched due to their annoying voice or "quirks". I'll check Surreal sometime though. Do you have any other recommendations?

None that I can think of. Surreal had a short RS2 campaign, that was how I found him. Dunno if he still has it though as a heap of his videos were deleted due to all that copyright stuff.

Some of you people really like to cry out "Ohh you're welcome to try casting yourself, just be happy with what you have" huh? I was comparing the state of total war Youtube casters with other games like Starcraft to point out some of its shortfalls. You don't need to be a caster to do that. I am simply a total war fan who would like to watch streams with good casters, that's it.

This post is relevant to RS2 because I am looking for RS2 casters. Plus, I don't think they lock posts just because you ask them to. I tried it before myself.

To make this post more relevant, let me put this in. To answer your question: there aren't to many casters, so obviously and implicitly the chances of good voice & good strategist are also low. As simple as that, quality is restricted by quantity in this situation.

In another note, just do a youtube search and you will find something eventually, in just like a couple of minutes I found these youtubers related to RS2:

Well said. Considering how popular RS2 is, especially for such an old engine game it's a shame they're arent't more let's plays by more accomplished players.
For that reason alone it's a bit silly that some people want this thread closed even though the OP's title is a little lacking in structure to what they're trying to say. I don't think the OP is actually having a jibe at anyone.

It would be an interesting let's play if someone with a steady voice and knowledge of the era could make a campaign video and played using the incredible depth of the mod such as the traits, political play of the romans in particular, the sheer amount of units and beautiful graphics enhancement. There seems to be much more players willing to make more decent videos for M2TW, when there is all the enjoyment that they have there to be have here in RS2 and even more.

Well I admit that the title of this post is a little misleading. I posted it shortly after my numerous attempts to find a good caster so I was little ticked off.
But yeah, as Agrippa19 said, it'll be nice if someone who has good background in the era's history and good metagame understanding does streams.
